i do like muse but im not a massive fan.... but i do have a good story to tell u guys which will make all u guys go *ahhhhh!* my flatmates brother in law did somthing to do with artwork on the last album and he took her nephew Seb (who at the time was about 6 or 7) along one day when the band were all there....and after a while seb went missing....they eventually found him drawing pictures with Dom...ahhhh! and he signed one of them 'love your friend Dom (who is in the band muse)' or something eqaully cute! :dozey: bless! how cute. im betting all u guys like matt tho right seeing as this is his appreciation thread! thought it was a good anecdote anyhoo! :lol:

yeah i like the way it starts off as a smallish sort of small and tender, and it just builds up and up into this massive big beautiful heartfelt rush of sounds that just wash right over u....gorgeous! :dozey:

i wasnt sure at first i dont like the start of it much....but loving the chrous when he goes all ooooohhhhh.....darkness always turns into liiiight etc :D harder to sing to that one coz the quality of that KCRW track isnt so good as some of the others :cry:

i agree what if...judging by the precedent set by arobtth and the scientist being the second single then i would have to put my bets on what if as the second single, then i reckon square one and maybe talk and the release for outside the UK (like GPASUYF) but...its hard to tell seeing as most of us have only heard half the album there might be other strong tracks on there that are potential singles just waiting to be discovered! :lol: :idea2:

i agree....i do like SOS and ive waited so long i couldnt hate it u know?! but its not the best coldplay song at the same time... from the other tracks i heard they could have picked a better single.....but then again they have said its the bridge track from arobtth to x&y. in my place was my least favourite track from the last album (and that was the bridge from parachutes to arobtth) just because...i dunno it was the most immediately commercial and sort of flat sounding one, it was catchy but prob had the least depth out of many of the tracks on the album, even tho what it was talking about (states of mind) was quite challenging. you know what the reocrd comapnies are like tho...they are gonna put something out there thats safe and familiar- so ur mum could listen to it and say 'its coldplay!' emi have got too much money to lose if they do this wrong and the album fails to sell as well as they are expecting so they are gonna put something immediate and catchy out there first and build it up in the same way they ended with clocks on arobtth (well in the uk anyway), we are gonna pick up from where clocks left off and transition up to a track like square one i would have thought. i would have liked to of seen square one as the first single coz thats by far the strongest song ive heard. but that wont happen coz people that arent massive coldplay fans will just go what?! do you see what mean? had to write quite a lot to get my point across there! :idea2:

this song is SO good - I had chills all through it and I swear it nearly bought tears to my eyes. ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY GOBSMACKINGLY AMAZING. Same! It totally knocked me out- I'm glad I'm home alone otherwise everyone would have seen me going mental!
