This forum is going pretty bogged down too, because everyone is refreshing this page. Stupid PHP, why does it have to be so slow.

You could have your friend send it to your personal PC, via instant messenger or ICQ. Then upload it to rapidshare. That won't solve the problem, but at least a few people will be able to get it, maybe one of them will set up a torrent.

From the lukewarm review: "X&Y may be their most layered and musically dense record, but whether its hidden depths will be revealed on repeated listens is something that I wasn’t able to explore in one sitting." I respect the guy's opinion, but trying to give an review based on one listening? Come on. The only other reviews I know of are NME and Blender, which gave it 9/10 and 5/5 respectively.

Fix you is definitely a great song - it was hard to tell from the OC clip with the actors talking over it.

I definitely like the leaked version of talk better than speed of sound. I am worried that the album version will not be as good, but if it is i think it should be the next single.

How does Low compare to your favorites on AROBTTH and Parachutes? Hard to judge by one listen i know, but just thought I would ask.

I voted "Too early to tell". I know I said I didn't like the new material, but their studio work can be pretty impressive. For example the delay effect on Chris's voice on Spies, the part at the end of clocks where he is singing two things at once, among many others.

No, it will only be a page out of Bono's book if it turns out to be crap. Does anyone remember what he said about the Joshua Tree? I don't have the link but I remember reading somewhere that he said it was tough to record, and wasn't sure whether anyone would like it.

I want to see how everyone rates the new material from the concert. I don't like it very much (with the exception of talk), but judging by the reactions of others on the board it seems like I am alone in this opinion. Obviously it is bit premature, with only about half the songs being played, and even those in poor quality, but in my opinion great material tends to shine through. Thoughts?

So far I have only heard Square One. I was expecting it from the title to be a slow guitar ballad about starting out on his relationship with gwyneth or something like that. Boy was I wrong, it is very dark, and so far I like it a lot. Is it better than the songs on AROBTTH? It's too early too tell, but I will be adding it to my plalist along with my favorites from AROBTTH, parachutes, and early u2 albums.

No, I like it too. I don't understand the review by NME, maybe they had listened to a different version of the song.
