The Jesus of Uncool: Chris Martin: The Rolling Stone Interview
Oh, lol well no I didn't mean we'd actually implement it. I was just making a statement about sovereignty. Every country should be allowed to make its own laws without interference from other countries. Every individual should be allowed to pick which country they want to live in. But when America (or any other country for that matter) goes around invading other countries' right to sovereignty, it implies they are operating on a "world stage" and therefore the worlds' citizens should demand they stop. The whole point of this is that people should leave each other alone and that nukes are good. ;)

Another two (blog) reviews of VLVODAAHF
Who does Thom Yorke idolize? Has he ever admitted in interviews that he enjoys other bands and gets ideas from their music? I honestly don't know, but I very seriously doubt it. And yes, it's just my opinion. I think more highly of Chris Martin and his music because Radiohead have never given me a reason to care very much about them. They're too political, too holier-than-thou, too monotone/depressing... so that makes it all-the-more frustrating to hear them constantly compared with Coldplay. Maybe one day we can start inferring that Radiohead takes ideas from Coldplay's songs. But I'm sure they'd never admit it.

I like MANTA RAYS
I remember where I was when this happened... a seafood restaurant at the beach, ironically. I think it's a better way to go than one of the other terrible deaths he could have suffered - he was always messing around with dangerous animals.

Another two (blog) reviews of VLVODAAHF
So which is it? Are they inspired by Radiohead or are they stealing from Radiohead? I mean, you could just as easily say Chris Martin is inspired by his children Apple and Moses when he writes great music - because they, like Radiohead, have no real effect on the final sound of the Coldplay songs! Radiohead are not the Gods they are made out to be. Chris Martin is profusely friendly to Thom Yorke and crew in his interviews, but I never see the feelings reciprocated. Forgive me if I'm unimpressed with the character of that band and its lovers.

The Jesus of Uncool: Chris Martin: The Rolling Stone Interview
I'm American and I'm libertarian (so I hate both the Republicans and the Democrats). I think Chris Martin has an insightful point about the whole world voting in America's elections for president, because this country does tend to throw its weight around WAY more often than our Constitution allows. Then again, I don't think it's fair we should call ourselves the oldest constitutional republic anymore. That was a good interview, Chris Martin is an interesting person. I'd love to talk to him even though I know we'd probably disagree on 90 billion things.

I had this distraction leading up to my exams but now they're over and I passed them all. Just make lots of flashcards and pray St. Peter will call your name!

The Official Opinions about the new album thread
Any takers on how many times Pitchfork mentions Radiohead in the review? Or Eno? I'm guessing at least four for both.

What type of people listen to Coldplay
This is generally true. Models are drawn to Coldplay concerts like a moth to the flame.

Your Gay/Bi Coldplaying Brothers and Sisters.
Hah, well I don't think it's really necessary to go around announcing you're gay because it's sort of irrelevant most of the time, lol. Sometimes you can infer that from being around someone but I don't really seem too gay - I've actually got a deeper voice than most of my straight friends. BTW, Jamie your girlfriend is one lucky gal, because you are a handsome, nice dude. :)

What type of people listen to Coldplay
Coldplay are just the first band I fell in love with. I feel like I know them and their music seems so honest to me, but I know a lot of people who love hard rock and I believe it does the same thing for them that Coldplay does for me. It's just preference.

Who feels weird bringing your girlfriends around your parents?
You should befriend the creepiest, most tattoo'd, pierced, oddball chick you can find, and bring her to your parents saying she's your new girlfriend - and have your friends film their reaction in secret. After that, introduce your real gf and they'll be thrilled she wasn't like the last one.

Your Gay/Bi Coldplaying Brothers and Sisters.
Agreed, it's an interesting subject when it's not political or sordid. I've often wondered what makes people straight or gay. Hormones? Genetics? Psychology? I remember reading somewhere they did autopsies on gay Rams (yes, male sheep), and they discovered their hypothalamus was bigger or something. Scans show this part of the brain is what makes us aroused (in humans). So maybe it is physical differences.
