  1. Yes way! Let's play! Hey! Not that way! Get your hands away!
  2. And Josh gives me compliments on my hair, sometimes!
  3. You must be 15. *checks* Yeah... I was right. Only if you go fight in Iraq bare-chested, you stud.
  4. This whole business about associating gay people with transgenders & hermaphrodites is pretty funny. It's like straight people got together and were like, "Okay, what's weird enough that we can lump together with homosexuality? Yeah, that's good, people who were born with deformities. Crossdressers? Nah, that's... they're straight? Oh heavens, no. What about people who have a condition where they feel like they're a member of the opposite sex and they get surgery to correct it? I'm sure they hang out with fags."
  5. lol I don't want to work for anyone who would fire me if they could. That would suck. So no, I don't need a "right" to not be fired.
  6. That's a good way to "support" gay people - just emotionally. But we certainly don't need financial or political support - that's patronizing. I think as western society becomes more supportive of gay people, there won't be so much of a gay "culture" as there is now. Having radically different subcultures is unhealthy for society, in my view.
  7. Great choice for a charity! This is much better than the others they've donated money to.
  8. Wow, Nathan is gay for Jay.

All I remember about this movie is the kids wore clothes made out of curtains. And blonde Mary Poppins was dancing on a hill in springtime.
  10. Did America sneeze or something?
  11. What is this, quidditch?
  12. For those who are interested (HAAAAY Nicky-poo! *kiss*), here's a paper from the Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics that deals with exactly the issue at hand: http://mises.org/journals/qjae/pdf/qjae12_1_2.pdf
  13. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125329467451823485.html This is the beginning of the end of the internet's freedom from political manipulation. When all ISPs are required to behave in the same way, there is no substantive difference between them. This will stagnate growth and innovation in the internet. In freedom and capitalism, you have to take the bad with the good - it encourages change. In socialism, everyone has an equally shitty existence - including your grandchildren. An analogy would be government regulation on vehicles. With all the rules, car manufacturers have basically been making the same cars for the last 50 years, but with very minor changes (heated seats, anyone?). This is the way it's about to be with the internet. Zero incentive to increase bandwidth for everyone by charging some people more for extra bandwidth use.
  14. Anyone who doubts the US government could be capable of anything as dastardly as 9/11, please read about Operation Northwoods: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwoods It will really open your eyes to what the psychopaths in the military are capable of.
  15. If the United States were a business, it would be considered massively over leveraged. In stock market terms, the short sellers have only just begun to take this business's risk into account. It's still a long ride down. Ultimately I think the winner in this will be the military. The USA is at its core a militant fascist state - heck, it's first president was a general. When things get really tough, Americans will swoon and fall into the arms of their benevolent camouflaged grunts. And it'll take a lot more than a yellow ribbon on your car to prove that you "support your troops".

And bring a huge picture of the Warren Cup.
  17. http://ca.news.finance.yahoo.com/s/18092009/24/f-afp-fed-plans-approve-banking-salaries-report.html ...to set bankers' salaries. Ohhh, that'll fix everything! Nobody should make more than a certain amount of money. Our lives should be mediocre, unincentivized blobs of grey goop they fed Oliver in that movie. Then we'll go, 'Please sir, can I have some more?' And our government masters will smile and nod.

  19. What part of the Torah is "preemptively attack thine enemies before they attack you" in?

Athens. But I'd sneak over to Sparta every once in a while to learn Tae Kwon Do and observe the muscle-studs.
  21. People are really underestimating the effect this recession is going to have on young people who aren't able to find work. Getting a job when you're a teen teaches you many skills, including how to be independent, manage your own money, and develop interpersonal skills.
  22. What is it with Beyonce and Mariah Carey always writing songs about how hot they are, and how guys don't have a chance in hell of f*cking them? Methinks they doth protest too loudly. They've probably each slept with 400+ guys.
  23. Nick, as long as the currency isn't totally debased (Zimbabwe style), and most people don't understand Austrian theory about the "business cycle", I think the Western Democracies can keep this ruse up forever. People will continue to vote for the guy who can promise to stave off the next recession/depression.
