I can only agree with you. They were gone for so long, and it was almost like forgetting how great their music makes me feel. And even though I had ups and downs lately, with Coldplay, there's finally something back in my life that I can always always look forward to =)

The video's not here because it wasn't finished on time by the band/the management, so Channel 4 and MTV Germany didn't even get it yet.. :S

I don't blame MTV though, it must suck for the channel when they announce it over and over again and then don't get the video delivered on time.

My Coldplay presentation in high school 3 years ago looked very similar. I did it in English class = not my mother tongue, so you'll probably cope way better than I did =D

The video special was just the Coldplay videography, with several OLD videos of the band. And they played "Homecoming" by Chris and Kanye West at the No.1 Coldplay track. God I was SO mad. This is not damn COLDPLAY, man.

Why should they only show it in Germany? It was just stupid by MTV Germany not to take the announcement off the programme, while Channel 4 did.. Sigh.. disappointing. But also kinda stupid by the band/the management to announce the world premiere so soon when they can't be sure about the finishing process.

MTV just announced "the video wasn't completed on time and we therefore can't send it right now". Aaaargh.

I was banned by youtube already because of uploading Coldplay vids years ago, so I won't be the one this time =D

Yeah, no doubt about it, they're announcing it all day long on MTV =) Yaaaay.

Usually I'm all up for moral as well, which is why I bought "Viva la Vida" legally and all, even though it was up here.. But there can't be anything wrong about listening to LIT on youtube once, and seeing the video I can't see "on the album".. It looks official to me, don't know why it popped up on youtube though.. Anyway, what I'm saying is: there's no need to degrade any "proper Coldplay fan", which I am, just because we don't share identical attitudes. I'm always the one telling my friends not to download Coldplay stuff illegally because it even kinda "hurts" me, but I'd never judge them on it or anything, so.. please don't do that either. And something else: The 'Extras' site doesn't work for me, so I can't properly judge what actually pops up there. Gotta stick around on here to find out..

Absolutely love it. I can't wait to hear it with lyrics, because it's so beautiful already - and I'm anxious to see how it turns out with Chris' voice added. Gorgeous melody, just great and pure!

I love Violet Hill as the first single, I wouldn't change it. Viva La Vida is gorgeous, and I'd prefer it not to be played on the radio too often, or it will just turn into another "Fix You" which was beautiful at first, and then just annoying after so many radio plays.

@ Larry It is true, they also mentioned it live on MTV yesterday. Tuesday 4 pm it is =) Yay!

I'm absolutely in love with this song. And I agree, at first it sounds too much like "Oh, what a typical pop song", but the strings are GORGEOUS and it's all in all wonderful. I'm one of the few here who's not impressed with "A Spell A Rebel Yell", but "Violet Hill" grows more and more on me, while I'm loving "Viva la vida" more and more each time I listen to it. I bought it on iTunes and don't regret it at all.

Over here in Vienna, it's 3 minutes past midnight, so it's already April 12 and therefore Guy's birthday in my home town :D And therefore I'd like to wish the sexiest, hottest, smartest bassist in the world a great day with his mates, wife and little baby girl, of course! The party at Chat Noir was on Thursday, March 8, the same day Taryn Simon's art exhibition opened.. Taryn is Jake Paltrow's girlfriend, who in turn is Gwyneth's brother, who therefore came with Chris to support the family :) Chris' birthday was on March 3 and they were in Mexico at that time, of course.. The whole family was vacationing there and Gwyneth was even in the audience on the band's March 3 gig..
