Just read a great German article and it says that Zidane's manager said that Zizou WILL indeed say what Materazzi said to him because he wants to clear all the rumours.. In addition, Materazzi denies EVERYTHING that has been said so far - he says he doesn't even know what "terrorist" means, that he didn't say ANYTHING to Zizou and that "the whole world could see what happens" - yes honey, we SAW what happened, but we didn't HEAR anything, that's the problem :P Anyway, France forgave Zidane, he's still an extraordinary football player.

It is justified to a certain point, but not on the field, you know.. But in this second, I guess you don't think of the consequences, you just lose control and want to take revenge..

Yeah, me, too. I think it's good that Zidane wants to clear it officially. I'm sure he says that he regrets losing his control - I could even imagine that Zidane won't tell what Materazzi said to him.. Because he could fear that people would say that he's only looking for an excuse instead of apologising..

It's not ENTIRELY his fault.. Just imagine this situation: Your family is from Algeria, you're a muslim, you had to fight against racist comments all your life. And then one dirty Italian keeps insulting you and your family 110 MINUTES LONG - sometime you simply can't control yourself anymore! I know, he should have waited until the game was over, that's the only fault he made..

I agree with you. I have a friend who punched a guy who called him a dirty Turkish and who has insulted him the while before as well.. Of course it wasn't right to punish him, but I can relate to that..

Alright, I think you've written in about 6 posts now that we only blame Ronaldo because we lost against Portugal.. I'm sure there's some truth about it, at least it was how it started, but it didn't start with England's LOSS, it started with the incident with Rooney and the famous winking! It started with THIS moment, ONE hour BEFORE England lost! That's it! And I'm sick of "So many players do it, why do you only blame Ronaldo?" - wtf? So many persons kill people, why do we blame one single murderer? It's the CURRENT case, it's what we think about AT THE MOMENT, so no reason for NOT doing it!!!

Oh this ist just a nightmare.. It's horrible what Materazzi did, I wish he was punished as well.. You're all right, I haven't even thought about the racism campaign they started - Materazzi is a complete asshole, I would have done exactly the same thing like Zidane!
