Yeah, it's sad in general how much this WC was influenced by cheating and diving. These negative parts of the tournament are in the media more often than good results and players.

Haha when girls are involved in a thread about individual players, it often ends up with this :P Don't wanna offend girls here, don't get me wrong, I'm one myself :D And why shouldn't we talk about their looks as well, it makes the game more interesting, haha

^ I agree with you a 100 %. I wouldn't have anything against Ronaldo if he wasn't diving that much, I'd think of him as a brilliant player.. But he destroys the image he could have by being such a bastard!

We are not offending Portugal. We are not jealous. We don't say that the Portuguese team is the only team cheating. We don't say that Ronaldo is the only player diving. But we say that Portugal and especially Cristiano Ronaldo have attracted A LOT OF attention because of constant diving and cheating and it got to its highlight with the Rooney incident - not just the red card and pushing, but Ronaldo's WINKING! Because Ronaldo winking doesn't only show that Ronaldo is a diver, it means that the whole team is! It's totally natural that you defend your team, I'd do the same! But you shouldn't accuse us of being jealous or mean or whatever - you just say these things because you wanna blame someone else than your team. There must be a REASON for so many people to "offend" your team and Ronaldo. And there IS a reason, no matter if you deny it or not. And Portugal isn't the only team to be offended by the media or fans or whatever, that's bullshit! Lots of players, referees and teams have been criticised throughout the tournament, and I guess the only reason that it's (still) this hard against Portugal is the fact that they're still in the tournament playing their last game and the fact that Ronaldo got that much media attention.

Well.. If Rooney did it on purpose, it's fair. I personally don't think so, but I understand why it looks like this.. To me, it's ok that the FIFA acts in such cases, but if they do, they should also punish others, that's true..

Thanks for the news - considering the fact that he could have been suspended for 5 games, 2 are alright.. I mean, it's still a shame and not fair, in my opinion, but I expected worse!

That whole Rooney/Carvalho/Ronaldo/referee situation will never be solved.. To ME, Rooney didn't do it on purpose. He had to keep the balance and step back, he didn't even look behind.. But it obviously doesn't matter to any referees what I personally think :P And I'm not blaming anyone who says that Rooney DID it on purpose, no-one can say that for sure.. In addition, we can't know whether the referee has only done it because of Ronaldo or not.. who knows.. there's no sense in discussing it because we won't find out!

I prefer it to his long, curly hair :P

^ Alright, then I got it wrong, I'm sorry. I'm sure there are English saying that it's just Ronaldo's fault, but I've never heard that from anyone, to be honest. And even if we had won, I'm sure that England would blame Ronaldo for Rooney's incident and for the other stuff he's done anyway! I mean, the FIFA doesn't warn Ronaldo because England lost, they warn him because he DOES dive and he DOES cheat.. That's all we're talking about!

@ mc_squared, don't even reply, burningmonk is obviously not getting what we mean.. We NEVER said that it's Ronaldo's fault that we lost the game or that we deserved winning or anything! We said that Ronaldo's constantly diving and cheating, this has nothing to do with the England game!!

I wish people would stop defending Ronaldo, for god's sake!! It isn't just about that Rooney incident, it's about the fact that Ronaldo is an arrogant cheater who's lying around in the fuckin' penalty area all the time!
