I totally agree with the both of you! Like I said, what Materazzi did was cruel and mean and he should be punished as well.. Today they said on the radio that Zidane's manager announced that there will be a statement by Zizou himself within the next couple of weeks.. And it has been confirmed that Materazzi has insulted Zidane all the game through!

Oh really? I didn't know that :P Well, I read that he said "terrorist" on many, many newspages, so I guess there's something true about it.. Of course we don't know for sure, but it's most likely that it was a racist comment, because that's what Zidane is confronted with most of the time.

Well I think it's ALWAYS wrong, no matter who does it.. If an Italian would have hit a French player because he was provoking him, I would say the same! As I was cheering for France, I probably wouldn't insist on it as much as I do now, I admit that, but I'd admit that the one who's provoking should be punished as well! It's just not right.. Insults are common on the football field, I know that, but racist comments and taking advantage of the knowledge how to let such a player lose his control is just wrong.. We never said that this is the worst desaster ever, there have been lots of other incidents in the past, of course. But this is the current one and it's totally natural that we discuss it.

I never mentioned Totti, I don't care about him or his past situation! Like I said, it's not ok what Zidane did, not at all! It was stupid and brutal and not fair at all! But I blame Materazzi (sorry if the name is spelled wrong), too - attacking someone verbally isn't sportsmanlike or fair either! I'm sorry, I didn't notice it was sarcasm - that's hard to notice when it's written ;)

Haha I can't hear the expression "bad losers" anymore - bad losers are Argentinians who start beating up their rivals after the game!! I'm just fed up with Portuguese fans not admitting that their players cheat and dive constantly.. My best friend is from Portugal and of course she keeps supporting Portugal, but at least she admits that Ronaldo is a wanker and the whole team is cheating too much! You can still cheer for your country without constantly denying its negative points..

I'm not English, I don't have the chance to watch the English premiership. I didn't even know before the world cup that Ronaldo and Rooney are club teammates.. To me, it's just about Ronaldo's behavior in this WC.
