yeah i see a date for the pond in the presale but it isn't mentioned anywhere else. anyone know when/where we can get the tickets for the anaheim pond if the presale doesn't go through? or for the LA forum, either one
  4. clocks and yellow are pretty much songs that everyone would know, coldplay fan or not, the 3rd, well any of their hits would do the trick, my personal fave is the scientist, you can make everyone sing along at the end like chris has been doing in his concerts
  5. yellow, it's come back to me today, the weather here reminds me of the video, listsened to the song and i'm really feelin it

so halloween's comin up here in the states, just wonderin what everyone's gonna be, or if there's any good costume ideas. I've used up my donnie darko getup as well as my brother's wrestling leotard thingy, on a very cold halloween, so yeah, good costumes?

after messing up the beginning of warning sign he says, "that's why we can't get on letterman, snoop dogg might say f*ck, and we might mess up our songs."
  8. a message always reminded me more of God put a smile upon your face, with the acoustic starting out then the electric coming in with chris singing long notes

i'm sure nin aren't the first to use that chord progession either, diffferent artists will a lot of times use similar riffs/progressions in different ways, chris just realized that he could sing hurt with the scientists progression and it fit well, i don't think it's any form of plagarism
  10. but yes they also ran a coldplay song not too long ago, near the end of this season, and i'm not sure which it is, but it's defintiely on of the b-sides, that is it's not on any of the albums
  11. i like live music, love live music actually. i actually like the crowd singalongs in live recordings, cause i'm always one of those annoying wannabe chris martins in the crowd with every song
  12. been watching alot of music too, video streams of arcade fire or the radiohead glastnbury bootlegg easily take up 3 hours of my time p.s. anyone know where i can get the encores that radiohead performed in glastonbury
  13. so here's an interesting tidbit on the song yellow taken from a rollingstone article taken from their storytellers performance During Coldplay's performance, which was taped in Brooklyn in May and airs June 8th, frontman Chris Martin revealed the origins of the band's career-making 2000 hit "Yellow." "Originally, it sounded like a Neil Young song," Martin said. "And it was missing a key word, so I looked to the nearest book: It was the Yellow Pages. In an alternate universe, this song could be called 'Playboy." heh dunno if he's being serous but i've always wondered exactly what the deal was with the color.....anyways looks to be a good show, june 8th here in the states![/i]
  14. i do like the album but...... so far it just doesn't stack up to arobtth for me. i mean where are those "give me love over" or "i miss you" ir "yeeeaaaaaah" moments that when i sing along i SING ALONG too? maybe it'll take a few more listens but it's not a bad album by any means
  15. fix you's probably my favorite for the moment

  22. ah yes, rilo kiley, eisley, bloc party, arcade fire, all indie gems that'd be perfect, i'd take any of em to be an opening act
