  1. i probably wouldnt go to a european country if i were to do it but i dont think i will. you really get the chance to go home anyway so its more about the fact that the flight might be rather expensive.
  2. i see! i thought all lectures in germany were in german unless you study a foreign language. sounds like a good idea...

how often do you usually go out, as in going to clubs or bars or sth. and where do you usually go? i just started going to uni and loads of students go out all the time. like four times a week or something. i've got no idea how they can actually afford it because most of them dont really work. i do enjoy going out but i hardly ever do it during the week because theres no point in going to uni AT ALL if you're unable to follow the lecture. so i'd rather stay at home if i got home at three in the morning the day before. i've gone out on a thursday quite a few times though because its a really good night out and drinks are far cheaper than on saturday. plus i dont wanna miss match of the day haha anyway i was wondering whether its a british thing or if students in other countries are the same. because most of my friends in switzerland only tend to go out twice a week.
  4. come to liverpool, you wont feel alone here  i imagine germany would be really hard if you cant speak the language :\

  12. i see your point but i still dont think its no good for the sport if the world championships decided that way. i think i made a thread about this while back.

  17. McLaren to launch appeal Raikkonen title uncertainly remains after McLaren say they will appeal stewards' decision Last updated: 22nd October 2007 Hamilton congratulates Raikkonen McLaren-Mercedes have said they will appeal the decision of Brazilian Grand Prix stewards to impose no penalty on the Williams and BMW Sauber teams for alleged fuel irregularities. Race report | Have your say The decision means that celebrations for both new world champion Kimi Raikkonen and his Ferrari team will have to be put on hold for the time being. It also means that, in his rookie season, Lewis Hamilton could yet become Formula One World Champion. The 22-year-old eventually finished seventh at Interlagos after making both a poor start and suffering gearbox problems on lap eight of the race which dropped him to 18th place. Hamilton battled back through the field, but with Raikkonen taking the chequered flag for the sixth time this season, the McLaren youngster could not make the fifth place he needed to take the title. Investigation However, stewards launched an investigation after the race when cars entered by both Williams and BMW Sauber were found to be in breach of technical regulations regarding fuel temperatures. It is understood the fuel temperature issue - specifically fuel that has been cooled - can give a car extra horsepower advantage, and so is a clear breach of the rules. But, following a three-hour meeting, the stewards decided there was sufficient doubt over the temperature measurements and imposed no penalty on either team. Had they done so then Williams driver Nico Rosberg, who finished fourth, and BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld, who came home fifth and sixth respectively, might have been stripped of their points. Hamilton would therefore have been promoted to fourth place - more than enough to hand him the title. But McLaren have claimed that two points made by the stewards in explaining why they chose not to impose penalties can be negated in minutes taken from the FIA's Sporting Working Group. They have also insisted that, in light of the long-standing friction between the two teams - encapsulated this season in the 'spying' saga - the decision is not related to Ferrari's success. However, a precedent from 12 years ago means that Hamilton's title hopes remain slim. On that occasion - also in Brazil - Michael Schumacher, driving for Benetton Renault, and David Coulthard who at the time was with Williams, were initially disqualified as their fuel did not conform to samples approved by the FIA after finishing first and second respectively. But a week later the FIA chose to reinstate the drivers' points, while the teams were not allowed to keep the points in the constructors' championship. Should they choose to accept McLaren's appeal, the FIA's International Court of Appeal would then need to set a date for a hearing.
  18. i should start with my assignment but i still dont know which topic to pick so i'll probably go to the shop first.

  20. i went to the park today and i saw loads of people walking their dogs. i so miss having a dog but i dont think i could afford one at the moment.
  21. i'm gutted. :( as much as i want(ed) hamilton to win, i really dont hope those three cars get disqualified. it would turn the whole thing into a joke. i didnt want raikonnen to win the title but i do think he deserves it.
  22. the police already search black people more often than anyone else.
