yeah i think speaking to people and actually living in the country helps a lot. my friend also had spanish at school and i dont think she had to study a lot. but the fact that the two languages are pretty similar also makes it hard because you're more motivated to study if you dont understand nothing at all.

i see. well i guess thats a good idea living in a different country and learning portuguese is hard enough. and you'll improve your english anyway when you speak to foreign students. oh and hi anna! :nice: dont think i've spoken to you before.

can you do this in portugal? yeah i speak german which is my first language, french and a little spanish. i see, seems to be really hard to find them dogs then. it takes quite some time if you're looking for a specific breed anyway, i think we had to wait about half a year when we bought our first dog.

Foreign students 'are better at English than British undergraduates'
i take it that's why they make you pay 95£ for some stupid english test when you've already got an A level equivalent degree in english.

oh i'm sorry to hear that. do you have to take some of the exams again? yeah this would be cool! i'd love to learn italian but as i said i gotta wait until i hear from the colleges. this dog looks really beautiful. just like a wolf or a husky. you need a lot of time for them dogs though so i've heard. and 1200 euro is expensive indeed but i guess you'll be able to get a cheaper puppy if you look for adverts in newspapers and stuff. however i'd rather pay a little more and get it from a decent breeder.
