i absolutely i hate that. we have quite many people at our school who are like this. they use lots of foreign words, but if you listen to them you realise the things theyre talking about absolutely dont make sense. but they don't seem to realise, they really think they know abot any topic.

i mean when you're in a group and nobody is sharing your opinion. you just know the thing you're gonna do is completely wrong, but your unable to persuade them. that happened to me yesterday and i really dunno what to do about it. i was working with people i hardly know, but they know each other. i told them what i think about their decision of course, but they didnt want to understand me. i could've refused of course, but basically i couldn't. because if i did, it would have felt like cheating them. i have nothing against them, they seem to be really nice girls, plus i dont know any other people in that course and we're gonna have to do some excursions with this course and i fear being alone there all the time if i didn't get along with them, because i don't know anyone else, but they seem to know each other. i'm sure we're gonna be punished for what we did. i dont even care much about being punished (probably will be like having to come for two saturday mornings) it's more that i feel that i'm gonna be the one who's blamed. and i really dont know any arguments because i think it's just completely stupid.

thanks a lot for you replies. thanks, that's great. i've been learning spanish for more than three years now. i like the language, but i don't understand its grammar. i mean there are many tenses and it's really difficult to find out which one to use. some don't even exist in german. i like russian, but i think i might have problems to learn it because i'm really not talented in languages. thanks for your advice. i like japanese too and i also think it's an important language. i didn't know that there are so many signs. i thought every letter was a sign in japanese, so i thought there would be more or less the same numbers of signs as letters. i think in chinese every word is a sign, so there have to be thousands of signs. anyway thank you very much for your help!

i'm afraid of flying, but i don't think it's a real phobia because i still do it. i just try to take other means of travel if it's possible.

i think you should trust your first impression about a person. it might be wrong at times, but i often realised that it isn't. like i met somebody and i thought something negative about this person. after some time i forget about this (or at least you try) and try to get along with this person, and finally, maybe years later, i see that my first impression was right.

i'm gonna apply for university soon and i have to take two language courses. i never liked learning languages at school and i have no idea which one to take. i'm gonna take english as my first language course, because it's the only foreign language i have learnt that i can use actually, plus i'm gonna spend three months in england before i go to uni. but i have no idea about the other language. i can take french, spanish, italian, russian or japanese. i've been learning french and spanish at school, but i never understood its grammar. so can anyone speak russian or japanese? is it very hard to learn? because i think i'd have a problem with any latin language. i just have to take those courses, i won't actually need them for my studies. which languages can you speak and which one would you like to learn?
