Brilliant opening song! (I cant find another topic about it) The first notes keep reminding me of Strauss's 'Also Sprach Zarathoustra', you know, the song used in 2001: A Space Odyssey! Does anyone else have that? :P

Im interested in how youd describe how Coldplay has changed over the albums :) Id say its from acoustic-ish vocal/piano focused songs to more guitar and ethereal sound focused songs... (I hope Im not making a double topic)

Me too! Very afraid... :worried: It seems likely they are headed that way since the band goes for equality between its members Im not against that, actually. I just am, like you, afraid of the SOS effect. That the tracks might be too bland and predictable when produced like SOS. On the other hand Im confident that the songs are good! Kind of a contradiction, but uhm lets be positive shall we? :P We'll hear! :)

I agree with this, and the title of the subject... The word clone is wrong, the word similar as in the same is wrong, the word comparable is the only applicable! Ohyea, its the same band :o I dare to bet that if you like CP and you at least - like - the first single, the album will blow your mind! And its not a clone of AROBTTH! .

SOS is brilliant and definitely not similar to Clocks! But to be honest I prefer the acoustic version of SOS (someone sang second voice at the chorus on the acoustic MTV version which sounded awesome) and I even prefer (the old) Talk... :embarrased: Both songs are very 'smooth' on the ear, and Talk and SOS even sound somewhat alike (production-wise at least)... The songs themselves are brilliant, dont get me wrong! I just hope the rest of the album has more unpredictable and rougher songs.... (said this at the coldplay forums too)
