I totally agree with that. Which Coldplay fan is studying how dexterous the lyrics are? Which Coldplay fan doesnt like to sing ''oooooooh aaaaaahh'' together with chris :P When I heard it for the first time I even liked the lyrics at the point he sang about writing a song, as its actually what he does in life :P I mean, personal and warm, I love it! Im not saying its their best, but I do love it cause its unpretentious, warm; Coldplay!

Same here... I think it totally misses the typical richness that the best Coldplay songs have. It doesnt have the beautiful, powerful, warm and catchy melodies, the anthemic lyrics... 'Things I Dont Understand' sounds quite the same, but at least that one has more flavour. I find Low unpersonal and bland compared to other Coldplay songs. Not their best at all.

Yea, well its a good thing :) It wouldnt be good if everyone would have the same songs at the bottom of their lists for example... That would mean that song is really a failure!

Ive revised my rankings... Based on how much I enjoy listening to the studio versions (!) of these songs: 1. Fix You 2. Swallowed In The Sea 3. The Hardest Part 4. 'Til Kingdom Come 5. Talk 6. Speed Of Sound 7. X&Y 8. Twisted Logic 9. What If? 10. Square One 11. A Message 12. White Shadows 13. Low I love the best songs for their beauty, honesty, simplicity, cathiness, and/or happiness. I dont like the production of 'Square One' and 'White Shadows' and I cant get into these nor 'What If?' when they start off. 'A Message' is just not catchy and memorable enough for me. 'Low' is too bland and un-impulsive and suffers from the same type of production as 'Square One' and 'White Shadows'.

i think its a mixture of white shadows and the hardest part... or maybe not.

Coldplay emulated embrace with that song, i do prefer embrace's version :)

When all the singles with the studio recorded b-sides are released Id compile a cd and call it X&Y: 'The Z-Sides' :P

The lyrics are like an 'atmospheric' part of Coldplay songs. Therefore not really something that you need to understand. Anyway, thats how I see it :)
