Hi there, I have some tickets for lawn seating at the concert with a couple friends, and I have some questions about the venue. 1. How important is it to get to the concert early (and how early)? I'm guessing that the lawn seating is first come, first serve. We were planning on getting there a couple hours early, but we don't know how early everyone else will show up. How early would they let us in? And if the venue doesn't let you in until close to start time, could we expect a long lineup at the gate? 2. Seating -- blankets or lawn chairs? Is it too sloped for chairs, or are chairs even allowed? 3. Food -- What food/water are you allowed to bring in? 4. Cameras -- any limitations? Thanks for your help =)

It's very possible that it was mastered poorly. Unfortunately, this is the case of many, many albums these days (just ask any audiophile out there).

Really? I've always liked Funeral (their first album) over Neon Bible... but that's just me I suppose. Otherwise, I pretty much agree with your sentiments. Arcade Fire is a band that grows on you. They are a band renowned for their incredible live performances (they even won an award because of it last year). If at first you don't like them, I urge you to not give up. Their music is pretty different from what I was used to when I first picked up Funeral (I never really listened to any indie music before then). However, some patience with the album was one of the best musically-inclined decisions I've ever made. :) Those who like Arcade Fire, LOVE Arcade Fire. I think it's fair to say that a very significant percentage of Arcade Fire fans preordered Funeral, or at least bought the album in the very first week of its release.

I don't necessarily think that EMI thinks this is a bad idea. What better way to boost interest in the upcoming album?

Yeah, I only really liked Speed of Sound when it first came out (I think mostly just for the sake of having a new song)... then I played it a billion times and now I find it very boring/mediocre... Kind of how I felt about X&Y in general. Let's hope for better this time around! I need to limit myself to only one or two listens of Violet Hill per day. ;-)
