Aw Camille, that is bound to be hard to deal with. I have a brother who is 17 and I would be feeling exactly the same way if he joined up. My cousin is a nurse in the RAF, which might not sound so bad as the marines, but we all still feel scared for her when she has to travel to the war-torn areas :cry: I hope you're ok. <hug>

I can see that Kate got a nomination, just saying that Jim was a huge part of the film and he deserves a nomination too. So does the actual film! I'll keep my fingers crossed for original screenplay!

I really love your avatar *Justine* :cool: I'm disappointed that Jim Carrey is not even nominated :angry: IMO Eternal Sunshine was his best movie EVER ever - it really changed my opinion of him as an actor; he showed a totally different side which was only briefly seen in the Truman Show. It was one of the best movies released for years... where are all the awards! *waves fist in air*.

In N.Ireland hardly any of my friends have even heard of Muse (oh the tragedy!!) because most of the music in clubs is all dancey-dancey nonsense and noone ever gets a chance to listen to amazing bands such as Muse, or new bands like the Killers, Franz Ferdinand or even Keane, unless you listen to the radio 24/7 in the chance of hearing them :stunned: Anyhoo, yes. :smug:

The movie is VERY VERY good vaseofviolets !! Extremely moving. I love the book as well. But I think it's good to actually see the horrific living conditions for yourself, which Frank writes about and we can only use our imagination.
