LOST Season 5: The Official Thread (contains spoilers)
that was pretty much my reaction, although it went something more like, "no, no, no, no, no, no, you can't make Des go back. he promised Penny!!!" it was an awesome episode! Charlotte was ace, and she was really cute when her brain was in mega-flashback mode. we now know how she wqas on the island before, so I'm very intrigued to know how the other fella was there before.

Wembley/Other venues CCC clothing designs [2009]
it might get lost as a sticky :\ Live has loads of stickies at the moment & none that can be taken off. As long as people keep posting, this thread will stay near the top. I like, but I would maybe lost the Viva La VIda Tour, and try to put Coldplaying in instead. I love the 2009 in the silhouette figures. I like them as well. that's cool, you get a much better idea of what they will look like :D

at the risk of going off-topic, why you taking a flame-thrower to Ticketmaster/LiveNation? A thank you note written on Phil's jumper from the last video, with a competition for someone to win it?

don't be sorry, there was more than one contributor to the jaffa cakes discussion, and I do believe it was me who moved it on to Rowntrees sweets :D the spanking new thread is now there & stuck waiting for on-topic excitement until, hopefully, spectacular news on mon.

Postcards From Far Away project | Previous pre-delivery discussion (thread closed)
I think what Chelsea is trying to say is: its too difficult to completely resurrect the old thread which had the Debs updates and the jaffa talk in. so we're creating a new thread with all the super-important posts (the main info about the project & Debs updates), which will be the discussion thread from tonight but which will remain completely on-topic. any off-topic posts in the new soon-to-be-sorted thread, will be removed.

11-Feb-2009: Tokyo, Saitama Super Arena - Tickets, Previews, Reviews
Coldplay in Tokyo First concert of 2009! COLDPLAY~ To be honest, I haven’t been following them since their 3rd album, X &Y, as I was more than a little disappointed. I don’t remember why really. I’ve always thought that Chris Martin has the most heavenly voice though. He sounds like some gorgeous, tortured, angsty angel. And he didn’t disappoint last night. His erratic-hyper-slow-mo-bouncing-against-invisible-barriers-and-off-the-wall style of dancing was also strangely mesmerizing. And the two HD(?) screens flanking the stage was Serious Stuff. You could see everything perfectly. I liked the balloony-inner-projection thingies too. And the concert director (producer? I forget who) did pretty much a perfect job with the camera direction, never boring and always great shots at the right moment. Great concert (minus the screaming “I Love You CHRRRRISSSS~~” girls)!!~ What I’d really like to see is them doing an acoustic concert though. Still, it was fun and their new stuff sounds more interesting… might drop by HMV to check out the album. Now I’m itching to get me tickets to Jason Mraz’s concert. He’s coming in 2 weeks time. Why didn’t I buy tickets!!!? Boohoo~ p.s. amazingly my camera decided to behave itself throughout the concert - once we were outside, it decided to go on strike again! http://kiapkiap.me/2009/02/coldplay-in-tokyo/

12-Feb-2009: Tokyo, Saitama Super Arena - Tickets, Previews, Reviews
Coldplay in concert One of the many privileges of living in Tokyo is the opportunity to see great bands in concert. I haven't attended big concerts for quite a while; the main reason being living literally in the middle of nowhere for the past seven years. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard several months ago that Coldplay—one of my favorite bands—was coming to Tokyo and that some people I know were planning to get tickets. I have been following Coldplay since their very first album "Parachutes", which is by the way still my favorite one, and I have enjoyed every album ever since. But, for some reason, I never got the chance to see them live; mainly because I didn't know anybody crazy enough—or fan enough—to drive several hours to reach the nearest city where they would play. The above photo was taken during the song "Lovers in Japan" (from their latest album) and, as you can guess from the title, they went all in to please the Japanese audience. The most memorable moment was the surprising explosion of thousands of butterfly-shaped bright papers that fell on us. It's my favorite picture because I think it captures well the excitement we all felt then. I have to admit that I was slightly surprised by the response from the Japanese audience. This is my first concert in Japan, so I did not expect to see such a calm public. Whereas in Western countries you are likely to be smashed by the crowd if you bravely decide to stand very close to the stage, here it's quite more civilized and less violent. Sure, there was a rush towards the front when Chris Martin first appeared on stage, but that was the only time I had to struggle to keep up with the crowd. It seems Japanese people are not so effusive when it comes to concerts—or anything else actually. While waiting for the concert to start, the environment was quite calm, only disturbed a few times by some shouts probably coming from other impatient foreigners in the arena. The emotion was not quite there during the songs either as I sometimes felt we were the only ones jumping and singing in the crowd. Personally, I prefer to attend concerts surrounded by excited fans; my best concert memories often involve very enthusiastic crowds. This experience, however, is only my first one in Japan, and I shouldn't generalize before attending more concerts. Who knows, I might get surprised next time... or just smashed against the front fence! I should mention that the advantage of such a nice crowd is how close we could get to the stage. http://unpetitblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/dsc05878jpg.html
