  4. Sylar & Noah look like a very interesting pair. they look like they would work together really well. am very intrigued to see how that goes. Claire is just annoying me at the moment. I feel a little sorry for Elle. The blurring between the good guys & the bad guys is starting to come through.
  5. Oxfam America has just posted in the Oxfam thread asking for volunteers for Anaheim

  8. October 8, 2008 - submitted by Imran, Singapore Q. Oracle, will the guys ever do a Chris Cornell song? Chris' voice sounds kinda similar to the other Chris! The Oracle replies: I don't want to offend you Imran but they sound nothing like each other! In fact, the only thing they appear to have in common is that they are both male singer/songwriters/musicians named Chris! That said Chris M is a fan of Chris C's vocals.
  9. October 8, 2008 - submitted by gabriela, Mexico Q. Is the handwriting in the blog of "a letter from Chris" actually his handwriting? The Oracle replies: Indeed it is.
  10. October 8, 2008 - submitted by Richard, United Kingdom Q. Hi Oracle, I watched the Live 2003 DVD again the other day and noticed that during Yellow there was an acoustic guitar being played yet none of the guys were playing it. I've also noticed similar extra effects being added throughout other live performances that couldn't have possibly been played by the band. Am I right in thinking there is a fifth member backstage who plays extra instruments and if so who is this person? The Oracle replies: Matt McGinn played the acoustic part on guitar during that tour but generally speaking unless it's a guitar you're hearing, it isn't a 'real' instrument that's being played.
  11. October 8, 2008 - submitted by Israel, United States of America Q. First off, Coldplay is probably one of the best bands I've heard. Such versatility in their music is unprecedented and unique. Thanks to all the sound/recording engineers who have worked with Coldplay, and making their uniqueness come alive! Now, my question--which comes from my sound/recording engineering studies--is: does Coldplay have a company in charge of running all their sound at every single one of their shows or does Coldplay just deal with the "in-venue" or "in-house" engineers? And is there a way to contact these companies, or engineers? The Oracle replies: Actually Coldplay have used the same sound engineer for their live shows since about 1999! His name is Dan Green.
  12. Guy fans: When you get chance to, you should watch the interview. When Chris mentions that Guy is the reason they're so successful, there's a long close-up on Guy's face.
  13. we don't know the house number but shouldn't be a problem as we can find the postcode, using eithe rof the businesses next door or the Royal Mail Postcode finder knock & run :o
  14. we could test the theory. if you send me a postcard, I'll tell you when it gets here.

  19. Crikey! You've been busy!! Think Postcards From Far Away Project is a brilliant idea. 1) Think that one person trying to deliver/post might be difficult/expensive, depending on how many people are involved. If we planned in advance, we could work out postage times for the countries involved and work out what days to post so that the cards all arrived around the same time. We shouldn't need the full address, so long as we had a postcode for The Bakery. The Royal Mail tends to work off postcodes first address second. BUT the latest picture in the Bakery thread shows a huge white metal shutter across the door, and no apparent letterbox. Which would suggest they don't receive mail there. Might need an alternaitve
