The arrrgggghhh 10 more days til the tour kicks off again thread [2008]
I'm missing the live updates and it makes me sad :( I still have 2 more months til my first concert of this tour, which makes me more sad  So I declare this thread a reminscences thread. For those of you who have been on tour in 2008, I want to know your best bits, see your most favourite photo, or your favourite video. Just to keep me going until Ottawa pops up :D

Postcards From Far Away project | Previous pre-delivery discussion (thread closed)
I'm going to stick the logo & my message to the back of an existing postcard. I want to send a Manchester postcard. I have one left of a set of promo postcards from a book that was launched about 8/9 years ago, but I think its a funky picture.

Never Mind the Buzzcocks - The Music quiz which isn't really a quiz
I was going to add to this thread about 5 hours ago, but the darned British public keopt interrupting me!!!! I always forget Buzzcocks is on, but caught the last 2 or 3 rounds last night. I liked the QI style fact thingy they randomly threw in. How many members of Coldplay can you fit in a mini? All 4 because a mini has 4 seats.

October 10, 2008 - submitted by Rafael, Philippines Q. Who is Phil Harvey? His name appears in the credits of Viva La Vida as a band member but he's only credited for "wise words" in X&Y. I don't seem him in the photos in the sleeves of any of the albums and his name doesn't even appear in the first two. Is Phil Harvey the Oracle? The Oracle replies: Phil met Chris and bonded as best friends at school. Phil subsequently became Coldplay's first manager. He took a break after the recording of A Rush of Blood... and came back on board after X&Y. He takes a creative role and is a trusted member of the team hence being referred to as the 5th member of the band. But no, he is not I and I am not he. October 10, 2008 - submitted by Andrea, United States of America Q. Your webpage doesn't fit on one screen and doesn't slide to the left. I can't see the tour dates. Can you have your webmaster adjust this please? Thanks The Oracle replies: Actually Andrea that problem is due to your own computer settings. It's the same for many people but there's nothing the Webmaster can do. October 10, 2008 - submitted by Annie, United States of America Q. I know this isn't a coldplay song, but alday i've had this song stuck in my head and the only lyrick i remember is "this is the story of a girl, who cried a river and drwn the whole world" i'm pretty sure that's right. anyway, it would really help if you could tell me the song name and the band who did it. thnx XDD The Oracle replies: What you're looking for is a song by Nine Days called Absolutely (Story of a Girl).

Hey from London, we met Chris!!!
Man this thread is jumping about all over the show. One thing to say: boys & girls can be friends and go for a night out to a concert without their being anything sinister in it. And thats the end of it. I came in here to get excited about Coldplayers meeting Chris in a completely unexpected fashion, not to read a pile of bollocks that even the Sun wouldn't print.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
October 9, 2008 - submitted by rachel, United Kingdom Q. I am asking you this for the 3rd time as yet ive not been answered which is somewhat annoying as you seem to be able to answer real mundane things about nothing in particular! MTV recently said that Coldplay would be releasing some limited edition material, do you know when this would be? The Oracle replies: Well Rachel I feel entitled to give a stroppy response to that... the reason I haven't replied is because the information is already in our news section. I'm not here to announce news but shall make it easy for you, click HERE. October 9, 2008 - submitted by Dean, Canada Q. Will Coldplay sue the shit out of me if I use one of their songs in my short film? The Oracle replies: Don't take it personally as the band wouldn't come and hunt you down or anything; it's just the rules of copyright. You just can't go about using anyone's music for films. You have to ask permission and more often that not pay for the usage. You have to remember it's copyright protected and so you'd need to contact Universal Publishing to ask permission, which isn't often granted. You've more chance if it's for a student film or something that will never be shown publicly and definitely not generate any income for you. It's still not likely to be honest but as I said, these are general rules for all recording artists not just Coldplay. October 9, 2008 - submitted by nanashi, United States of America Q. Where can I get a "barack to the future" shirt? It's Obamanomical! The Oracle replies: They're available all over the place so rather than look like I'm promoting one online store over another, I'll just give free advertising to a large search engine that I favour instead. Just type Barack to the future tee shirt into the search box. October 9, 2008 - submitted by anthony, United States of America Q. I have a song stuck in my head and I don't know the name of the song or the artist. The problem is that I only know the first five words of the song. It starts like this: "I live on a train". I have found that based on the little information that i know about this song that it's nearly impossible to find out who the artist is. I was hoping that you could you help me out. The Oracle replies: Not a problem. As soon as I read I live on a train, I knew that that the song you're looking for is by Pete Yorn. It's actually called Life On A Chain though, so he lives on a chain not a train. Enjoy.

Postcards From Far Away project | Previous pre-delivery discussion (thread closed)
something I saw yesterday said the average price of properties on fleet road is £499,995. hate to think how much the expensive ones cost. a flat would set you back £360 p/w to rent!!!!! the green doot could also be a back door/fire escape for the estate agents. Wrapping them nicely would be ace, it may well have more impact. That would rule the Bakery out though because you wouldn't be able to post it through the letter box. If the letter box in the picture is the one, if we use it, you'll have to stande there feeding a few cards at the time. The other thing we don't know is if there is one of those basket things on the back. Might not be able to post them all if there is.
