The more I read and think about everything, the more I feel that we are on the wrong track when we expect an album soon. The boys just shot a short clip on the beach or rather Will, Guy and Jonny did with Chris watching them. The next day Chris was off to sing for some charity events and the three others probably flew home. As to the 'track list' I was sure right away it was fake, because never before have they released a track list weeks or months before an album. And 'Messiah' sounds so un-Colplay like. And why should Noel walk past the Bakery and not go in if he had something to do with the band? He probably lives in the neighbourhood.

I think you are right. I have the impression that perhaps for the upcoming album/EP/Single or whatever the three non-Chris members will be more in the foreground with Jonny and Will performing Conscious Pilot on their own and perhaps a guitar solo by Jonny or one by Guy or an acoustic performance without singing etc.

I wonder whether the location of the shooting has got something to do with the content of the song. There are rocks and a beautiful beach. It is probably a happy song

I have trouble keeping up with all these exciting events and still do my job. I think much of what we are told is only rumors. We only know for sure that they were shooting some sort of video on Malibu beach and that some people who listened to the music found it 'horrible'. If the title 'Fools Gold' is truth, I don't underständ why they didn't come up with a title of their own?! They always had enough Imagination to find interesting titles themselves.

I don't think they have come all that way only to celebrate Dakota's birthday. Why would Chris Invite them to a party for his girlfriend? I hope there is more to it.

Well, I thought it was a sign of 'hope' for new music to see Will and Guy at Chris's house.

Chris will perform as one of the special guest stars of the band Soda Stereo from Argentina on their Latin America Tour in February and March next year. That's interesting. So Will and Jonny are still working together on their own and all four of them must have worked together in the last months or at least contacted each other about their music. That sounds promising.

When were these two songs written?

In an interview at the Global Citizen Festival yesterday One Republic said there would soon be a collaboration of them with Chris Martin, Beyonce and Adele. Might this be a hint as to which direction Chris's/Coldplay's music will go?

Third way: They don't release anything new neither before nor after the event (though of course I hope for new music) In any case, this will be a huge event with hundreds of musicians participating all over the world. Probably no group will perform more than one or two songs. Coldplay might play 'Up and Up', because as Chris once said that's a sort of credo for the group. They might also perform 'Conscious Pilot' or the new song Guy has written. It will be so great to see them together again. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it really will happen.

So Coldplay is announced to perform for Global Goal Live in 2020 together with many other bands. A year ago they were announced to play at festivals in Ireland and Portugal this year, but that didn't happen. So let's take this news with a pinch of salt. Next year there will be a huge Global Citizen event and the organizers are just enumerating the names of well-known bands that might participate. This doesn't mean all of them will actually participate. Besides, who says Coldplay, if they perform, will play new music? They might play two or three of their greatest hits or it could be only Chris (the curator) will perform Yellow or A Sky full of Stars, as he did this year on some occasions I am absolutely thrilled to hear new Coldplay music, but I have my doubts.
