Coldplay's use of Backing Tracks: good or bad?
Yes! This has been bothering me as well. I haven't actually been to a concert since the Twisted Logic tour, but from the videos and live performances I've seen on TV, it's driven me absolutely crazy! I feel like I want to enjoy them playing the music - and if that means that the songs are much more minimalistic, then so be it. I have all the CDs if I want to go listen to the completely-fleshed-out versions with multiple layered tracks.

Anyone only like certain parts of 42?
This song reminds me sooo much of that Paul McCartney song...Live or Let Die. That plus the ghost part make me dislike this song a lot. The first CP song that I vehemently don't like, as opposed to "I dont care much for it."

Even in AMAZON it's only VLV, without the ODAAHF. Y?!
I love this thread title, haha!

Violet Hill Video Exclusive: Tuesday 13 May On Channel 4
Bah. It looks kinda boring. I like music videos that tell a story or have a theme. This just seems to be them rocking out.

THE FRENCH REVOLUTION WAS BAD
Mmm...I wasn't following you here so I thought it all out. SINCE Prince William asked Peter Crouch to dance the robot for him AND Peter Crouch's robot dance is so indescribably awesome that it will someday cause the universe to explode = Prince William's efforts will cause the universe to explode. There. It makes perfect sense now. Prince William is such a jerk, endangering us all like that. ;)

Jan. 25 Seattle Show Review(s)
I was in Section 113...I got the $70 track jacket, but look at it this way: I could have spent $50 for some random sweatshirt I won't wear very much orrr $70 for a Coldplay jacket that I know for a fact I will wear all the time :)

Jan. 25 Seattle Show Review(s)
I was there too...some comments: -On Trouble they left out the piano riff...but I still liked it the best out of all the songs they played. Towards the end (Will was on the piano), Chris leaned over the piano and started playing a duet with him. It sounded really great! -I thought this was supposed to be Talk the Tour....but I guess it's still called Twisted Logic. Hmm. -I definitely enjoyed this one much more than the White River Amphitheater show...the acoustics in the Key Arena are pretty darn good and the crowd energy was great. -Fiona Apple was a bit different (music-wise), but still good. She was acting really weird though. She kept laughing nervously, stuttering, and trailing her sentences off...me and my friend came to the conclusion that either she was really really nervous, or she was somehow intoxicated... -Kinda had wished they mixed up the setlist a bit, but I liked it still. How You See The World was a nice surprise! -Fix You was fantastic! The lights were shining straight on Chris, so the rest of the arena was really dark...and everyone pulled out their cell phones and the place was just glowing with them...it was awesome!
