I have a weird question about Humankind - Am I the only one who feels like something is off? Throughout the song the lyrics are dragged out like "I heard the straaaaangeeessttt sooooooooong", or "we're only huuuuuuuuumaaaaaaan" but in the chorus the "still they call us humankind" irritates me so much because it doesn't sound the same - I always expect it to go "still they call us huuuuuumaaaaankiiiiiind" into the chorus melody. Love the song, but this bugs me so much, I can't help it lol. I'll post my impressions from the album later. Oh and also, Where did you get this from? There is not a single line in the song that says that... I guess you mean "But we're capable of kindness, so they call us humankind". If so, then you made it sound more terrible than it actually is.

Yeah that's what I don't understand either. If the album is in the hands of some people already, it's not our fault they shipped it before the release. Might as well share it with others. I guess it makes them feel special, but it's still weird because it only takes one person to put it out there.

Guys do you think the tour will be affected by any restrictions because of the pandemic? I've never seen Coldplay live and I'm just waiting for them to set the dates to buy a ticket, but I was wondering if the experience will be the same as always i.e. sold out stadiums packed with people. I would be disappointed if my first time seeing them live will be a stripped down version of what it usually is.

I think they will announce something in October, but not before the album release. The announcement could also be delayed until the end of the year. It's probably more difficult to plan due to covid.

Managed to find a video of the whole song. Can't wait to hear the studio version, it's a welcome surprise by them and it absolutely rocks.

I see. Well, I'm glad people like the song and I'm thrilled about coldplay already getting a ton of publicity because of it. But I just don't hear it, to me it sounds tasteless. And to think that Coloratura was made by the same band and is in the same album. Ugh.

I'm very curious what exactly is the thing that makes My Universe a hundred times better. The awful rap part? The outro that will be cut out by every single radio station? It doesn't even have their iconic last explosive chorus unlike Higher Power, ASFOS, SJLT, and other pop songs. My Universe is more repetitive than all of them and just doesn't go anywhere apart from that garbage rap part.

I don't even know what to say... I waited until 1AM my time for the premiere and listened to the song twice. I'm at my family's weekend house and this is my view right now (long exposure shot). I sat in a chair and just listened for 20 minutes while staring at the sky. I can't describe what an amazing experience this was. Last time I had a similar moment back when Everyday Life had its premiere live in Jordan at 5AM my time. What a ride. What a song. Thanks Coldplay.

It's weird because I was getting good vibes from the individual snippets of My Universe, and when the trailer snippet came I was sure the song would be fantastic. After listening to the whole thing today I'm disappointed and that's coming from someone who likes ASFOS and can live with SJLT (because of the outro that screams Coldplay). My Universe sounds like a BTS song with Chris being featured and not the other way around - and especially not Coldplay. The entire time I was waiting for the band to kick in or at least an explosive outro... It never came. The lyrics are cringy and generic, the Korean parts are unnecessary and annoying, the "you make my world light up inside" parts are pretty good. Other than that, there's not much (for me) to like. I honestly prefer Higher Power by a mile. Can't wait for the rest of the album though.

I don't think Life Is Beautiful will appear on the album. At least not in the way we know it - the song might just share a similar melody. It wouldn't be the first time either (e.g. Wedding Bells -> Christmas Lights) LIB is a newer version of Spanish Rain, and it seemed like they only play it live for the fans in South America. I don't see them chanting "ole ole ole" in a major album track lmao

Whenever someone mentions a soundcheck I think of "A View From The Top" You said you had a file to compare it to. That means we must have heard the song before no? Could be The Race too.

Lovers In Japan was so amazing with the strings oh my god. So glad it's a part of their setlists now. Also, is it just me or the intro / outro of the song sounded exactly like Orphans? I think I've been listening to it too much.

The lyric video for Trouble In Town on youtube is without the sample and I think it's much better. Or did you mean something else? Did you edit those out yourself? How's the quality?
