  1. How cool would it be to look back on this thread if I actually end up making it there? I won't get my hopes up, but I'm going to try to get tickets on as many devices as possible. Fingers crossed that I actually get there
  2. Do you still have the videos? I'd love to see them
  3. Trouble in Town vs Flags
  4. The lower amount of American Coldplay fans might actually be an advantage for me if Coldplay end up performing in the US. London is filled with tons of Coldplay fans, so it's easy to understand why so many people didn't get in, especially with the limited amount of seats. Maybe if I get lucky, I'll get to go to a rare concert.
  5. I would love that! Talk is a favorite of mine. That electronic version of Talk/GPASUYF sounded so good.
  6. Yes! I have a chance! Time for a Coldplay road trip
  7. Chris was asked if he was happy with his albums, and he said, "Yes, all of them, except for X&Y." He said that he'd remake it on its 20th anniversary. It would be the way he originally wanted it to be, but the rest of the band didn't know anything about it yet. He's talking right now if you want to listen.
  8. What do you guys think the new version of X&Y will sound like? I'm so surprised Chris chose to remake an album, especially X&Y.
  9. Will anybody be recording all the things going on today? I'll be celebrating Thanksgiving while all this stuff is happening.
  10. @I ran away I love your new signature, it looks so good!
  11. Wait, really? I haven't even heard EL music on the radio yet, aside from listening to the radio online before a Coldplay interview. Coldplay doesn't seem to be too popular where I live, unfortunately.
  12. Thanks for the really detailed description! Since most people didn't get the chance to go, thanks for telling us what it was like. It must have been really cool attending such a small performance.
  13. Hello, it's so nice to have you here!
  14. What's with how they censored Arabesque's swears? It sounded like Chris said same fuderlucking blood.
  15. Oh, poor guy! Luckily it says that he almost missed the concert, so he probably made it just in time. I think going to that concert would definitely make up for his flat tire though. Either way, today's been a night to remember for him.
  16. I could be thinking of the wrong concert, but did you hear Coldplay’s cover of Happy Christmas/War is Over? It’s one of my favorite live performances.
  17. So, I'm watching Back to the Future and reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for the first time, and I just have to say that the band has some really great taste. Every dedicated Coldplayer should do this, because it's a really great way to get to know the band. I'm thinking of listening to A-ha more often as well, because Chris is a really big fan of them. Also, Guy is close friends with Magne F, a musician of that band and a member of Apparatjik. Is there anything else I should do to get to know the band better?
  18. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8siiOKK3u0:131 In this interview, Magne says: "All four members of Apparatjik have had very bad experiences with spheres when they were children. This was one of the reasons they were most drawn to each other. It is too painful to go into the details, it brings back a lot of bad memories unfortunately. Can we move on now please? We are much more comfortable with cubes generally. We quite like hexagonal prisms too."
  19. Thanks for the smileys. I'm going to have to start using these.
  20. Parachutes: Shiver AROBTTH: Politik X&Y: Talk VLV: VLV MX: Moving To Mars (Even though it isn't technically on the album) GS: Another's Arms AHFOD: HFTW (Without Beyoncè) EL: Daddy/Flags
  21. Life In Technicolor vs. Sunrise Cemeteries Of London vs. Church Lost! vs. BrokEn 42 vs. Trouble In Town Lovers In Japan vs. Daddy Reign Of Love vs. WOTW/POTP Yes vs. Arabesque Chinese Sleep Chant vs. When I Need A Friend Viva La Vida vs. Orphans Violet Hill vs. Guns Strawberry Swing vs. Èkó/Cry Cry Cry/Old Friends Death And All His Friends vs. Champion Of The World The Escapist vs. Everyday Life VLV: 11 EL: 2 (Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love EL, but Viva is still my favorite album by far. )
  22. Nope, there's plenty of fans over here. The majority of fans are in the UK, but there's a lot of American fans as well because so many people live here.
  23. That would be kind of funny if they released a song about spheres. In an Apparatjik interview, it was mentioned that all four members of the band, including Guy, hated spheres. That's why they're so obsessed with cubes.
  24. Does that mean that Coldplay technically has three songs called "O" now?
  25. So, I just got a Twitter notification about Coldplay releasing a bunch of Parachutes demos or something. I can't find it anywhere, it must have been deleted a few seconds afterwards. The only accounts I have notifications turned on for are Coldplay, Coldplaying, and ColdplayXtra.
