I have my own imaginary parallel Coldplay universe I like to write about in my spare time. This sounds great!

Unnamed LP9 Thread
It feels like all this news has been coming way too fast lately. It's so hard to keep up with everything. I watched every single EL interview up until a few days ago, when I finally lost track of them all. For an album without many interviews, it's really hard to keep up. I even listened to Guy's hour and a half car interview. Just thinking about a tenth album this early makes me uneasy, because I haven't even caught up with all the EL stuff yet or had a chance to enjoy this era in its entirety.

Possible spoilers below, I don't know how to use spoiler tags. The year 2024 must have some significance. If it's true that a new album will be "released as soon as possible", then I could definitely see LP10 being released in 2024. It seems strange that they'd already be looking so far into the future when there's technically only 7 Coldplay albums that have been officially released worldwide.

LP8 Thread - Everyday Life
So, I found this drawing of what I thought the eighth album cover would look like: I made this before the first album hints starting popping up. I thought the album would have heavy symbolism and morse code. One of my biggest hopes was for it to have a song in a different language, and EL had a bunch of those! I imagined it with a song that spells out "Music is the universal language" in morse code. Now that I think about it, that's not too far off from "Music is the weapon of the future." :D It's so much fun to look back and read all my album predictions I wrote. Especially on the day before EL's official release.

Flags - Sunset - Bonus track (Japan exclusive)
This might sound kind of weird, but I love this song because I'm insecure about my nationality. I really like the part where Chris says that your flag doesn't determine who you are, and you can still be important no matter what. My room has flags from other countries in it, but I still refuse to get one for my home country. This song made me feel a little bit better with the nationality I'm permanently stuck with. It's not that I hate my country or the people living here, and I feel very lucky to be born where I was. But I feel like no matter where I was born, I'd still be unhappy with where I'm from.

Everyday Life - Live in Jordan on YouTube 22 Nov
Do you think Flags will ever get played live? I have the link to the song but I haven't listened to the whole thing yet. I have no idea if it's the kind of song that would get played live or not, because I forgot what the snippet sounded like.

Champion Of The World - Sunset
This song reminds me of Harmless and I don’t know why

Flags - Sunset - Bonus track (Japan exclusive)
Flags sounds so good! I love the part where Chris sings about talking to his former self because I write to my past and future self quite often.

Daddy (Official Video)
Here's a very interesting article about how the Daddy video was made. It has sketches and pictures of them making the puppets. It also has a behind the scenes video at the end. https://www.aardman.com/blog/behind-craft-coldplay-daddy/

Coldplay Image Distortion Game
One person picks a picture of something vaguely Coldplay related (ex. accordion, elephant, globe, etc.) and distorts it. The guessers have 15 tries to guess the image, and whoever guesses it correctly gets to post the next image. I'll start with something easy.

Daddy (Official Video)
Alright. No words can express how this song makes me feel, but I'll try. I haven't watched the video very many times, so I apologize for any mistakes I might make. I'm writing this all from my memories of it, and I'm not sure when I'll watch it again. This is how I interpreted things: The video starts off with a girl all on her own, with no one else in sight. She's floating in the middle of the ocean, and the only company she ever gets is from birds. There is no land, just her, the boat, and her oars. All she can do is just helplessly keep going in the hope that someone will notice and rescue her. She's been alone for so long that it doesn't even seem to bother her anymore, she just keeps rowing until something happens. As time goes on, her oars float away, and they're one of the only things she has left. Her chances of being finding land are slim to none. She finds a kite, which gives her a brief sense of hope, but then the string snaps and the kite flies away. Eventually, she ends up in a crowded city, and she feels even more lost than before. The familiar ocean is gone now, and she has to do her best to fit in with everybody. At this point, being alone feels even better than trying and failing to fit in. She secretly wants to be with the other people, but she's too afraid of being rejected. So she just stays on her own, practically unnoticed by others who think she just wants to be left to herself. The same familiar ocean fills her boat up with water and rips it apart. She's thrown into the ocean and begins to sink. After floating on her own for so long, she finds a whale who lifts her up from the ocean into the air. They float together, far away from the ocean below. The whale keeps supporting her, even as it begins to crumble. (I know you're hurting too, but I need you I do) The whale falls apart completely, bringing the girl down with it. things seem even worse then before, because the girl knows what the sky is like now. She falls into her boat, and floats on her own, and even the birds are gone at that point. The screen goes dark, and just when it seems like everything is over, there's a new day. The boat finally floats onto the land she was looking for, and this time her father is there. We don't know much about him, he could be anybody. It's up to the viewer to imagine what he looks like. This song is very confusing for me, but I still find comfort in it, despite how heartbreaking it is. I wouldn't want this song or video to be any other way.

I am going to try and analyze this music video, but I need some time to think it over first. In the meantime, do you think we’ll ever hear the music played during this countdown again?

Yes. So far there are four radio stations giving out concert tickets and a trip to London. None of them are from the UK.

Live at the Natural History Museum London 25 Nov 2019
I don’t think they’re going to check if you’re from the UK or not because radio stations that aren’t from the UK are giving out free tickets and a trip to London. It’s not like they’re going to check where the contest winners are from and deny them entry into the concert.

Everyday Life Leak Discussion [SPOILERS INSIDE]
I'm guessing that there'll be ten performances this era, in these locations: -Amman, Jordan -London, England -Los Angeles, United States -NYC, United States -Tokyo, Japan -Paris, France -Mexico City, Mexico -São Paulo, Brazil -Istanbul, Turkey -Seoul, South Korea I believe Chris said they weren't having any concerts in Australia. It's going to be interesting looking back and seeing how close I was. But I think I'm pretty accurate with most of these locations.

Even though I can't go to the concert, I'm hoping that we'll get some good performances to watch on YouTube at least.
