Mac user: "Hey, PC user, tell me ONE thing that a PC can do that a MAC can't?!?!" PC user: "...Right click." I read that on a webcomic somewhere... Windows is an effective system that is used everywhere and lots of people are familiar with it. Mac and Unix systems are just way behind as far as usage and popularity, and while Linux is considered by a lot of people as better, its an industry, and it doesn't have a chance against Microsoft. Mac is the laughing stock mind. I've never been even interested in a Mac. Windows works perfectly well for me.
  2. Born to multiply, born to gaze into night skies, All you want's one more Saturday. But look here, until then They're gonna buy your nice time So keep your wick in the air and your feet in the fetters To the day. You come in doing cartwheels We all go out by ourselves And your shape on the dance floor Will have me thinking such filth and gauge my eyes. You'd be damned to be one of us girl Faced with a dodo's conundrum Ah, I felt like I could just fly But nothing'll happen every time I try. A dual tone under wall Selfish fool and hoped you'd save us all Never dreamt of such sterile hands, You keep them folded in your lap, And raise them up to beg for scraps, You know, he's holding you down, With the tips of his fingers just the same, You'll be pulled from the ocean, But just a minute too late, Or changed by a potion, We'll find a handsome young mate, For you to love. You'll be damned to pining through the windowpanes, You know you'll change your life for any ordinary Joe, And though your night will go on, Your nightmares only need a year or two to unfold. Been in love since you were twenty-one, You haven't laughed since January, You try and make this up this is so much fun, But we know it to be quite contrary. Dare to be one of us, girl, Facing the android's conundrum, Ah, I feel like I should just cry, But nothing happens every time I take one on the chin, You're humoring your cote, You don't know how long I've been, Watching the lantern dim, Starved of oxygen, So give me your hand, And let's jump out the window.
  3. Reasons! Please. :)
  4. Where would it be? Before you answer... I know a lot of people on here are from all over the world, and there's a high chance a lot of people will say the UK, which is fine and all but say why. Not just single reasons, either. Reason for this thread is it's something that I've thought about a lot. I've always lived in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, and it's never ever been a problem for me until I got completely hooked on basketball. Now if someone asks me where I'd like to be the answer is the US before they can finish their sentance. For one reason. I know a lot about basketball now, and I know about the systems and what goes on. The high school basketball teams, state championships, college teams, professional etc. We have nothing like that over here. In the US there's like, high school teams in every school that all compete in games every week and that's like, the thing I'd like to have done more than anything in the world. I mean, nearest basketball court to me is a 20 minute walk from my house, and even then it's covered in glass and stuff on the floor and there's no marking and the ground is uneven. It's really annoying that I have nowhere to play when I want. Every village should have a basketball court. And TV!!! All of the best TV is American. My two favourite shows: 30 Rock and Scrubs. Both American, if I wanna see em I gotta stay up and download them, and it takes ages. And oh Godddddd!! The Playoffs!! Playoff time. My favourite months of the year are March April May and June because it's the final months of the NBA year! But I can only watch games on weekends or repeats on Mondays cause of the time zone! I watch 4 games on a weekend if I can (they have early tip off times on weekends). I could watch basketball all day. I did last week. There's some of the reasons I think I was born on the wrong side of the ocean. I've complained about this so much to anyone American that's had to listen to me go on about it. You next. Rant over. :)
  5. go go go go go
  6. Uhm. I been stuck inside doing school work all day so I can't have had anything bad happen to me. Although on my one 10 minute trip into the back yard, I did catch my hand on a stingy nettle. The grief, I know.
  7. You at home anyways? If you're gonna be online a while more just come online on MSN or somethin. I can chat and work at same time. I have 2 screens :D
  8. I'd guess around 270 to 300. Words, man, the word count would be massive. I'd check, but I don't have the time spare. I'll read what you PM'd then I'll get back to my school work (yay for 5 min breaks to shoot a few free throws and check my emails) and maybe respond on Monday if I'm not busy.
  9. I should be all done with school work and onto just revising by Thursday :D:D:D:D:D:D:D Woo yah. I sacrificed my last week with this, and now it's nearly over.
  10. 1 Arcade Fire 2 Blur I don't like Snow Patrol 3 Radiohead I don't like The Beatles 4 Sigur Rós
  11. 132 including the one you're gonna send me sometime in the near future. That's only from your direction though. Mine go back some hundred or so but they cut off for some reason. Guess I must have cleaned them out way back when.
  12. West Ham beat Man Utd 1-0 with a Tevez goal. Wigan beat Sheffield United 2-1 to send SU down. Sheffield were supposed to be safe weeks ago when they were 10up on the rest. Shocking really. I wanted Wigan down.

Hamilton 2nd again. Kimi crashing out on lap 9. Ouch for him. Electrical problem or something. Hamilton is now top on leaderboard now. By himself.
  14. I will when I have more than 5 mins. I have a busy few days ahead.

  18. Haha. I like the unintentional rivalry. We shall now both move on, yes? :D
  19. POMPEY FOR EUROPE! PLAY UP POMPEY. POMPEY PLAY UP! One of my favourite football memories was a game against Stockport at Fratton Park years ago when Pompey were struggling in Division 1 and their goalkeeper was that Lama guy, and he had a white streak in his hair, and every single Pompey fan was shouting "you got bird shit, on your head, you got bird shit, on your head!" on loop for 10 minutes every time he touched the ball. It's weird that as a Geordie all my life, because of ticket prices up here, and how cheap Division 1 football was a few years ago, I've been to nearly as many Pompey games as I have Newcastle games. And I've enjoyed the Pompey ones so much more.
  20. So you're saying you can't fit through the door either? If you aren't 6 ft 5 or over then you're short in my book.
  21. Hey, I can duck under the door frame, you can't magically stretch yourself to fill it :P
  22. He bumped heads with Tony Parker and got a big gash on his bridge. Needed 6 stitches.
  23. Obviously written about me. Clearly.
