Yankee Candles
Aw... I can't be around most scents... they make me really sick. And candles are usually the worst. I went to the Yankee candle factory once when I was little (before I was so sensitive)... that was cool. We got to dip our own candles.

See, THAT was the order I was expecting. Can't believe X&Y beat Kid A... well I can, but I don't have to like it. My Biggest problem is with how low Amnesiac and Agaetis Byrjun (sp?) Ended up. As for the Eraser, I have heard some Aphex Twin and Board of Canada and liked them, but they're missing something- Thom's voice. Musically I like it okay, but I really love it because it's the most beautiful I've ever heard his voice with the exception of a couple of Bends tracks. :nice: If he sounded like that at the time, he could record an entire album acapella and I would probably like it. @Marek re: The Beatles. I hope one day you grow up and get a clue. In the meantime, thanks for the laugh. Well, I guess we know who wins the Blur/Oasis thing on this board. Although Oasis have the distinct advantage of a clear album to start with. With Blur I didn't have a clue where to start, so I got their greatest hits instead. Finally, @ Nik: Dude. Thanks so much. This was awesome.

Classic TV...
Yeah, he wasn't old- he had just resigned, supposedly for a vacation. But he woke up in "The Village" with no name, just "Number 6". The Village was run by Number 2, who usually changed every episode, and there was a big white ball named Rover that kept everyone in check.

The Prisoner? Just came out? Are you sure you aren't thinking of Prison Break? The Prisoner was an old 60s series about a kidnapped former spy. It was released on DVD recently, but it originally aired in 1967

That would do it. ...Although it was actually the CBC that I first saw The Prisoner and the original Star Trek on...

That's what reruns are for.

I dunno... I think AROBTTH has way too many 1st place votes to be beatable... but OK Computer and Kid A both look set for second. One of them would probably have been first if they weren't splitting the Radiohead vote so evenly.

Police swoop on children's hopscotch game
:shocked2: Pardon the language, but WTF? Chalk scribbles everywhere on the road are one of my favorite things about suburbia... they make it feel like people belong there. *sigh*

I'd never really heard of Explosions in the Sky before, so I'm looking them up now. I like! :D

[Coldplaying's Top 250 Albums] Results
Probably when faced with a list of favorites, alot of people just listed the things they were into at that moment. So new stuff is going to be ranked higher, because it was added to peoples playlists most recently and won't have come off again yet.

How should I call my hamster?
I like that name :nice: But I think hamster bites are one of the things you're supposed to get a tetanus shot for, so you might want to see a doctor.

Classic TV...
THE PRISONER!!! Such a great show. I used to watch it with my dad when I was little. It's warped me for life- I've never been able to find anything quite like it again (though Lost would have done it if it had been a mini series), and I've spent most of my life looking. It's really funny because Patrick McGoohan looked like my dad when they were both younger, and number 6 acted alot like my dad- logical, anti-social, and a dry sense of humor- so they've always sort of been jumbled up together in my head in the "if my dad were a superhero, he'd be number 6" sort of way. Random. Anyway, great show. Not enough people know about it. (edit) :shocked2: Someone else has heard of it! I'm in awe.

^ Ooh thanks! :D So it was the person who shrunk it who messed up the other one.

Radiohead
Anyone seen that weird video that there's a link to on DAS? And there's a cool studio pic in the Hodiau Direkton thing today. Well I haven't been to Oxford yet, so I wouldn't know. :P There are hills everywhere here- you either need strong legs or a lot of gears to go anywhere. Wow... it just occured to me. Between the Inklings, Radiohead and all of the influence the two groups have had, NONE of my favorite books OR music would exist without Oxford. Huh.
