There is no such thing...
Ha, clever. :dozey: Radiohead fans will get old too. Sort of like how Stones fans who said they would never live past 30 are now grandparents. Anyone who says they won't get old and then doesn't is either a robot or a foolish/unlucky dead person. :stunned: Yes. Yes you do.

Dude! :stunned: Thanks! I'll see if I can get a graphic together for it when school allows.

:laugh3: I get the impression they're a little overwhelmed at the moment. As I understand it they currently still handle that stuff themselves and their English is really good, but not perfectly fluent.

Parachutes or A Rush Of Blood
Ditto. ...Well, I guess based purely on sentiment, AROBTTH, because it's the album that made me love music and I still adore it. (And it's the one Chris signed. :D) But well, Parachutes is the one I own on Vinyl. It's not exactly second best. :bomb:

Favorite Canadian Band...if you have one
*bump* also, Karkwa! :D

Karkwa
Thanks Ian. :nice: ^There is somewhere from a long time ago. edit: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19180 Yeah, Canada has been punching way above it's weight lately in terms of both quality and quantity. It's a nice change. This is our golden age, in a way.

WILL YOU KIDS QUIT MAKING ALL THAT YELLING RACKET IN THERE! :p

By 'world' they're apparently thinking anything that isn't either English or extra popular. :dozey: If enough people have trouble finding it, maybe they'll switch it. But then I've never seen a Malajube album, so maybe even they are there too.

At HMV they had them in the "world music" section. It looked like most popular foreign language stuff was stocked there. (Which is silly since Sigur Ros is in the rock section where it belongs.)

Considering the time lag, the double thread thing is a little bit creepy/odd. :laugh3: But totally deserved. :smug: I got the album just before the prize was announced and have been listening obsessively for weeks now. It will probably be top 5 for my albums of the year. It's so, so beautiful. *swoons*

Its Richard Parry's birthday.
It was an amazing show. Very Arcade Fire-ish in some ways and very different in others.

Saw him with Belle Orchestre a while ago. :nice:

Germany pays off WW1 reparations
Yeah... I thought the whole treaty had been permanently scrapped completely at the start of WWII. Can't believe it even came up at reunification.

Stephan Colbert in front of Congress
How can someone be one of the first people to make a sensible point while being that silly! :laugh3:

Am I the Only One Who Has Several Random Webpages Open at Any Given Time?
I have ADD. Rapidly flipping through multiple tabs is a little bit inevitable with the way my brain works.

Am I the Only One Who Has Several Random Webpages Open at Any Given Time?
I'll often have two or three browser windows open with about three to ten tabs open in each. Plus I'll actually be reading tweetdeck while running several other programs I never bothered to close. Every once in a while when a video doesn't play well I'll go through everything and figure out what I don't need anymore, but it's gotten even worse since I got a superfast computer.

Little Comets (if you like indie-pop and love to dance)
Sounds good!

Scott Pilgrim
Yeah, she changes outfits a lot, but they're pretty consistently skanky- always of-the-moment fashion. Lots of minidresses, usually black. Sometimes a top and a miniskirt ,or low-cut jeans when she's being casual. Long coats when she wears one- a plain, stylish trench or leopard print. Gold jewelry- arm bands, bangles, and chandelier earrings or gold hoops. Knee-high boots with tall over-the-knee stockings. In book 6 she was wearing those high-heeled ankle boots with all the straps all over them. I think the look you're going for is the one they went for in the movie- the got the hair just right, anyway: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGB4VDQI6XM]YouTube - The Clash at Demonhead - Black Sheep[/ame] edit: found a better pic of the same dress:

How much did you pay for In Rainbows?
I dunno. You're chatting on a messageboard with a girl who has Doctor Who in her avi. Where's your Spock ears? :P Nah, I would have sooner pegged you as the European equivalent of the guy who keeps all his top hockey cards in vacuum sealed frames on his wall. Which wouldn't be likely either. Major labels as I understand it pay about 1$ per album minus the advance, which most bands never come close to making back. So effectively zero.

Yeah, Gorilla Manor is definitely out. :( Sorry. Old rules and there for a reason. One of the classic award season conundrums with cutoff dates. I'm still stewing over Burial's "Untrue" years later- it came out in November too. Sufjan I leave your hands. Do I hear yeas? Do I hear nays? No, In Rainbows time has passed. :p

^Many, many thanks. :D You know the most maddening ones are the people who (seemingly absent-mindedly) keep alternating between the artist and album names first on a single list. Especially when I haven't heard of most of the groups on their list. Especially when many of the album titles are also names of other groups that have nothing to do with the album so Google doesn't help.

How much did you pay for In Rainbows?
^You should dig it out and play it sometime. Or do you have it sealed up in pristine condition?

^deal with it. :P As for the second to last rule, I really would appreciate it if people put artist names first, then the album name. It's the way I organize them when putting the master list together, and if I haven't heard of an artist it's very hard to tell which name is which.

How much did you pay for In Rainbows?
I paid $8 for the download, because that's what I think disembodied albums ought to cost in general. I would have paid less if I had known that the bitrate was going to be so low. I really, really wanted to get the vinyl boxset, and still wish I had it to this day, but I was broke then and I'm too poor to get it off ebay now. I did buy it on cd the day it came out. I gave my burnt copy of the download to my sister to try to get her into them once I had a real copy.
