  1. Well I wonder if these people take into consideration that they used a private jet because their crew was so big. Otherwise they'd have to use about 4 buses to transport themselves and the crew across whichever continent they were on at the time. And I'm thinking that the plane was probably a better idea when it came to fuel economy.
  2. That whole interview was a complete joke. I mean... the fact that it's an interview with Ricky Gervais should be hint enough that nothing in this interview is serious. If he was really racist would he idolize Jay-Z like he does?
  3. High Speed I never skip A Whisper. That song gets so much hate but it's a really very good song.
  4. That's in the Tour Diary on the 2003 DVD. The Moses video you saw was a promo for the DVD where they interspersed scenes from the diary into the video. Yay Chris and Jonny. :wacky:
  5. STFU about the Chris Martin solo thing. IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
  6. Love it, thanks. (Don't swallow the mic ther Chris)
  7. HE DOESN'T HAVE A PRIVATE JET. They had one for the Twisted Logic tour that was owned by EMI. He couldn't possibly just saunter onto a plane anytime he pleased and flown his happy ass to London from GOD KNOWS WHERE while his band was on tour. It would especially be useless if his family was on tour with him, because they were. Now sod off would you?
  8. Do you know how to type?
  9. It's near the beginning of the film. Al Pacino's character and his partner are in the restaraunt of the inn they're staying at discussing matters of great importance. It's faint and in the background, as if the restaraunt were playing it. It's an appropriate song for the situation though. And although you barely hear it, Coldplay's credited in the... well... credits. :laugh3:
  10. I just recently got the Nolan movie 'Insomnia', and I've heard that there's a Coldplay song somewhere in there. If it's ture, which one is it? I'm just curious to know before I watch it. Thanks in advance! Er-- nevermind... it was 'Sparks' for anyone that was wodnering. I just looked in the credits. :D
  11. Coldplay's one of my only friends on MySpace because I haven't looked at it in about a year.
  12. I'm really confused. Chris doesn't have a private jet. They had one for the tour, but it wasn't his. It wasn't even the band's. It belonged to EMI. And I agree with Nik. I don't care if Chris is a hypocrit: put your efforts and energies towards things that matter. On top of that, it's not like Chris (If he even did this... which I'm not 100 percent sure that he did) is jetting off to go party in one city and come back to Adelaide or where ever for a gig, like alot of celeberties. He's going to see his family and newborn son. You talk of jawdropping extravagance when ther eare celeberties who piss mountains of money away on yatchs and jets that burn, I'm sure, a staggering amount of fuel. And most of them do nothing to try to offset the balance. Atleast Coldplay is buying rainforests in Brazil and planting mango groves in India to try to negate their carbon output.
  13. WTF? I swear... celeberity magazines will report on ANYTHING. What a freaking waste of paper. "OMG. Chris Martin had STAINS ON HIS JACKET?? NOOOO WAY!" Get over it. And by the way... Gwyn is probably 79.45% more FREAKING BEAUTIFUL than Donatella could ever be. Plus, Gwyn's hair is natural.
  14. Damnit. He's the DRUMMER. Brilliant... took me from the entire article.
  15. It's from a collection of children's poems that one of the guys' friends used for his band, but he thought it was too depressing, so he gave it to them. And penguins still don't live in Alaska.
  16. My mom recently came home after going shopping and pulled out a black jacket with a Nehru collar from one of her bags and smiled and said, "Do you think Chris would like it?" And I think I laughed for like... 30 minuets. It's really effing weird... my mom refers to all of them by their first names (And so do my friends... it's frightening).
  17. Jonny is definitely my fav. And where does he insert a Coldplay riff in there? And which one? I re-watched it and I don't pick up on it.
  18. Okay good. Because beleive it or not, I've actually come across people who thought that Chris was Coldplay. They didn't even KNOW nor CARED that there were three other brilliant musicians involved in the whole process and... you know... often appear in interviews and like... play on stage with Chris. Fricking idiots.
  19. You're kidding right? Please say you're kidding. I think I'll hurt someone if you aren't.
  20. In the first place, Chris isn't ever going to go solo. He knows better than that. He lacks the self confidence, he loves his band mates too much, and he's already explained about 37482129 times that he thinks he's absolute shit without them. Second of all, just because an artist does work with other artists seperate from their little microcosm of their band does not spell automatic doom for a band. It's actually good for memeber of a band to go out and collab with other musicians outside of the band. Keeps them challenged and motivated and inspired and prevents laziness and stagnation. Chris has worked with plenty of people in the past and so has Jonny and Guy and Will. It's not as if this is marriage and they're 'cheating' on each other by 'seeing other artists' or something like that. Thridly, Chris isn't working with Justin Timerlake. Justin asked Chris if he would, and Chris told him no. It's old news. And finally, they're recording a fouth album. They've built a studio and already have alot of songs rattling about and written. They've said it themselves. Like it or not, Coldplay will prevail despite Chris being a 'musical slut' and doing collabs left and right. And to the guy who said something about a greatest hits album, that's not effing possible. They've only been around for a little over 5 years. If they release a greatest hits album anytime soon, they'd be hailed as the most egotistcal, pretencious, sell-out bands in all of musicdom. I seriously doubt that the thought of a greatest hits album has even strayed across their minds besides in joking (a la Chris' appearance in 'Extras').
  21. The music and arrangments were pretty good, but her voice is pretty unremarkable. Her overall delivery was not well done.
  22. Well, Chris did say that "There would be no Coldplay without Jonny Buckland", so... I think that's a good indication. But if you really think about it, Jonny brings so much to the songs by adding so little. Like in 'We Never Change', 'Everything's Not Lost' and 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' (Along with just about every other Coldplay song ever) he has very simple, sparse arrangments, sometimes bordering on atmospheric that bring the song alive. Plus, Chris? Do you think he'd be able to function creatively without Jonny? I mean, he'd be struggling without Will or Guy, but without Jonny? They're like musical soulmates. And... last but not least... I love Jonny?
