Guys, calm down. I mean... does NOBODY ELSE think it was a big finger to their lable/industry? They've seem very fed up with their enormous fame and the pressures put on them by their record company (Although they'd never come out and say it), coupled with the fact that it's the WORST song on the album (And they know it... they never play it, haven't talked about it once, have never promoted it), AND it's a RADIO ONLY release (Meaning minimal profits will be made) and now this video, which is definatly not Coldplay gold... do you not think it's telling all the exce's and music journalists to shove it? I love it, because I think that was what the motive was and with all four guys laughing and joking around it's a great gesture of comaderie. Also, it's good to see them making fun of themselves. :)

Well from reading this, I can tell that the guys just wanted to have a good laugh, and I can see why. With all the media attention they've been getting. Besides... it's be kinda sad if they made a SERIOUS video about The Hardest part, wouldn't it?

That's not a fact either. It's just Chris having some fun. During the Koko show back in the summer he was introducing the band and says, "Everyone has a secret gay love... and this is mine. Mr. Jonathan Buckland." Chris says stuff like that all the time. Don't worry about it. :)

chris lover, we're not trying to say that Chris is gay, or even Jon. It's just all in good fun. We know that both boys are happily commited, but all we're saying is that Chris and Jon's relationship is unlike anything we've ever seen. (I know I've never seen two men so close) They're like heterosexual soulmates or something. And it's just cute and endearing to see two members of your favorite band so connected. However, there can be a few comments on this thread that are a tad over the top, but don't worry about it so much, will ya? It's just a thread.

LOL coldplay_97. No, you're not a tool. It's a term that only musical nerds know. Mostly. What it means is that what Jonny is playing cannot be properly transcribed onto a sheet of music, because it isn't really a note. As in none of the 'notes' that he's playing are actually real notes like an A or B, they're somewhere inbetween (Without simply being flats or sharps) and can't be given a note. It's a very hard effect to acheive (As you can imagine) and can be very grating, but if used properly, can be amazing as well. Hence my excitement. You friggen GO Jonny. :wacky:

According to the Coldplayer, the band's been experimenting with some atonal guitar affects along with other darker sounds. What are some of your opinions/thoughts on this? I for one am extremly excited. It's one of the most exciting things I've heard in awhile. I can't wait to hear stuff like this from them. It should be interesting, even if the band drop the atonal, but still keep going down the same road with some more obscure, darker sounds.
