In this sales climate, it's an awesome result!

Well you're right that we don't really know what else was said, but nothing that I heard made me think the interviewer was asking dodgy questions or goading him. They seemed like reasonable questions to me, and Will certainly didn't seem put out. He did the same during the Observer magazine interview. If he can't deal with these kind of things, then he shouldn't do them. It was hardly a Jeremy Paxman-style grilling!

I have to say, having listened to the Radio 4 interview, I thought that Chris was being a tad argumentative. I never once thought that the interviewer was goading him or twisting anything. Christ just seemed incredibly oversensitive and irritating. It's not like it wouldn't be the first time this has happened. He seems to be making quite a habit of it. Sorry, but that's what I think.

If any other band had made this album, it'd be getting 4 and 5 star reviews. So, so many music critics just seem to be incredibly hard on the band. Oh well, it won't matter in the slightest.

Woo! I got my CD today in Sainsbury's in Newry! Just £8.75. I saw it in HMV and Zavvi too, but nowhere had the jewel case.

I'll either buy it tomorrow afternoon in Newry(a town in Northern Ireland a few miles away) or my local record store in Dundalk where they put out friday's CDs on the shelves the night before. Woohoo!!

Before we all get too excited, Japanese editions of English albums have a tendency to have really dodgy lyric sheets! It's as if they get a local to sit down and listen to the album and transcribe the lyrics as they hear them. I've seen this on countless Japanese albums. Hopefully that won't be the case here, but just a wee warning!

Hehe. I do this a lot! I get soooo excited about a new album I've been dying to hear, that I set totally unrealistic expectations. When I relax after a few days and just listen to it without the frenzy, it made all the difference. There isn't a single track now that I don't either like a lot, or love.

Yeah, a proper album like this takes at least a few days to properly judge. That's what's so silly about magazines reviewing albums after one listen. I've already gone from thinking it's fantastic, to being disappointed, to loving it again in the space of 2 days. Hehe.
