The strangest thing hapoened to me today! Whilst browsing my local Zavvi(used to be called Virgin) store in Dundalk(my hometown in Ireland), I found the official promo CD for "Violet Hill" sitting in the Coldplay section along with their albums. How crazy is that?? It says "For promotional use only" on the CD and also says "Not for broadcast before 30th April" too. How weird is it that it ended up in a store like Zavvi?? Anyway, I just walked out of the store with it, as there was no barcode on it and no price. I guess technically that makes me a shoplifter, but I was afraid that if I took it up the counter, a staff member would just take it off me and not give it back. Hehe.

Hehe. You absolutely can!! The award for non-bendy Coldplay fan of the day goes to...*drum roll*....Coldplay92!!

June 4th??? But on their website it says June 12th? It also says the 12th on Play.com!

Most major albums these days have been kept very well under wraps. The new Madonna album for example. They now tend to leak on the sunday before the European release date of thursday/friday in some countries. In other words, June the 8th would seem likely. It's not out of the question for it to leak before that, but it won't leak any later than that as the actual physical CDs will have been shipped from the manufacturers at that point.

I adore the artwork. It's bold, classical and also a huge departure from the very graphic style of the last couple of albums. It's such a striking image.
