Tattoo for Chris!
Awww! Well, there's only one problem. Obviously, if they have another child he'd have to get that kid's first initial put on the OTHER wrist (so there's no "YOU LOVE APPLE MORE THAN ME" stuff, of course). But what if they have ANOTHER kid after that... Where does that initial go? Hmmmm...

a question
Well, I personally don't think drugs should be taboo at all. It just makes them more dangerous. Talking to my friends who have done it, they say nothing bad has ever happened to them. If you think good thoughts before going into a trip, you'll have a good one. If you're scared and worrying about what could happen, all your fears will come true. or something. Of course, I'm paraphrasing here, I've never done it. My friend also says it's non-addictive, from a physical standpoint. But mentally, it can be. Like sex, or something. My friend said she saw pumpkin trees when she did it. :stunned: She drew them for me. Honestly, it didn't strike me as incredibly dangerous. Don't do it alone, have someone with you who's NOT tripping (so you don't go jumping out windows......) and be really careful that what you're getting isn't something else. Or that it's not MIXED with something else. That can be incredibly dangerous, of course. EDIT: Oh, and apparently it can last for up to 8 hours. It takes 2 hours for things to start to happen. Your body feels like jelly and you're very relaxed. Then the weird shit starts. Why do I sound like an expert on this.... :stunned:

a question
That's weird, my friend and I were just talking about this today... :stunned: Weird coincidence... He's got all this weird research on it and apparently is going to attempt to make it up himself in his basement ( I ain't tryin' THAT stuff!). I know a few people who've done it and nothing bad's become of them. I'm too terrified of that shit, myself. I also, on the flip side, have a friend who's relative took LSD awhile ago, had a few bad trips and is apparently a schizophrenic now. It's not really worth it to me. It's not like I'm going to discover God by doing it. And I've, personally, never gotten high from drinking. What kind of alcohol are YOU drinkin', Headless Chick? :wink3:

I think the pregnant woman served as a much more poignant message in the first video, I liked the colors used towards the end as the song grew stronger and stronger. Personally, I loved the CGI head (as I said before) because I thought it was different, and really an interesting concept. It was sort of depressing to have Bono for 4:45 minutes (or whatever) and the rest got 2 seconds. Meeeeh. I hope they don't release it :/

:stunned: Sorry, I really don't want to insult your musical tastes, honestly. But that's just so... poppish. They recently toured with Ashlee Simpson, BSB, The Veronicas Ryan Cabrera, and more! Is that a compliment.....?

Loss of Faith
I don't know. I honestly don't know what I believe in. Sometimes I have absolutely no faith, no trust in anything outside of myself. Then, the next day, the sun will come out. I'll look up at the sky and think "There's got to be more to this." I do know, however, that I don't believe in organized religion. I'm not sure what's going on with the world, particularly here in the West. Maybe it's all the scandals that are plagueing the Catholic Church these days (rapist priests, etc etc). I know that surely helped push me away from religion. The hypocracy of it all is in our face everyday in the newspapers. It's difficult to put your faith in ANYTHING at all when all you hear about 24/7 is "So and so has been murdered in their home, by their 15 year old son who was on heavy medication" "Priest John has been found guilty of taking advantage of 117 altar boys" "Scientists have cloned the first chimpanzee and made a new robot woman!" It's unbelievable what's happening to our culture. I really don't know what to think. It's hard to live in a country where there are two MAJOR groups of people. Die hard religious nuts (who seem to be controlling the country, at the moment) and people who don't believe in anything. The seperation between church and state is getting smaller and smaller and smaller. Religion is a part of the election process now. Bush monopolized on his beliefs and won over a large demographic of this country. Not for anything else, but just because he's got God on his side. Bullshit. People don't believe in God in this country, they just believe in whatever will get them higher up the political (or whatever) scale. What the hell, that was quite a random tangent/rant I just went off on!  It's just difficult to know what to believe in lately, especially here in America where people are debating when life begins, when life ends, and everything in between. There's no more freedom of religion, in my opinion. And that's turning a lot of people off to faith, myself included. And it just makes me sick.

Would you go into Space?
No, there's nothing for me out there. If I saw all of this earth, explored every last corner of it, then maybe I'd do it. But I'd love to see other people travel to distant planets and look for forms of life, etc etc. That interests me quite a bit. Of course, that's a long way off. And I'll be dead by the time someone travels past the moon. How friggin' depressing.

Does anyone collect anything?
I collect vinyl records. I don't know why, I don't really listen to them. It's just a habit I got into a couple years ago and now I just like to get the albums to put them up on my wall. I sort of collect magazines, too, whenever there's someone I like on the cover. Then I never read them and my mom gets mad at me for wasting all my money on this useless shit. Completely pointless.

- somebody please tell me why..
Those pictures make me mad. Fucking paparazzi intruding on their privacy like that. Completely wrong. I can't articulate enough how much I HATE shits like those celeb leeches.- U2
Exactly. I think 'Original' was written to be a personal song, for each person who hears it to take it a different way and apply it to their life. It's very close to my heart, and really I don't think any video they make would do justice to the song. I do like the CGI concept from the first video, though. I'd like them to do experimental stuff like this in future videos! It's a nice change - U2
There's a new version of Original Of The Species out, AOL was carrying it all yesterday, but now it's gone again. I don't know if maybe someone saved it and then uploaded, maybe someone on here has it? I still like the first version much better. I love Bono, obviously, but this is NOT a Bono solo project. What gives with only giving the other guys .4 milliseconds of coverage?? And the double heads made me incredibly dizzy  Plus, it's lacking the emotional power of the first version, especially with the Edge ending (this was, originally, about Edge's daughter afterall). I dunno, I wasn't that impressed by it. I don't know why they had to do a remake??- U2
:stunned: Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow! Thank you so much! I'll definately check out the link in your sig tomorrow, when I get back from school and upload this show! Wow!- NETTIE IS IT YOU???? or should i say netties thread? :D
Haha, my mom's nuts. She stayed up on that ledge hanging off the fence for 45 minutes until everybody came out. It was great! Meanwhile I went running around behind all those people taking pictures and yelling "BONO, BONO!" It was so funny. Oh man, I'M SO JEALOUS! :P I can't wait until next year, it's going to feel sooooo good. Class of '007. James Bond is our senior theme, pretty funny. I have no idea why we still have to do this shit. No other schools in this state have to. It's just because we've got a dickhead bastard jerkface as the head of our science department, who makes it mandatory for all honors classes to do it. Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurgh. I'm just glad I'm never taking honors science again. Phew- NETTIE IS IT YOU???? or should i say netties thread? :D
Oh, I believe it. I just can't wait until I graduate. It's going to be such a relief :wink3:  This is my last time ever doing science fair, and I am sooo happy. I've had to do this for the past three years and it's just nice to know that after tomorrow, I'm done! *victory whoop* lmfao, to be SLIGHTLY on topic, I found this picture of myself taking a picture of Bono after my October concert. Gotta say, it's incredibly creepy to be randomly looking at pictures and see yourself! I couldn't imagine that happening in a MAGAZINE  :stunned:  My mom hanging onto the fence.- NETTIE IS IT YOU???? or should i say netties thread? :D
Yeah, I'm having a lot of trouble in my science class lately. Junior year sucks MAJOR ass.  I really shouldn't be on here, I should be writing my science fair research paper. But I'm already planning on pulling an all nighter. So a bit of procrastination can't hurt... Right.....? :P Heh, I enjoy my avi. Tough guy Bono, soooo believable   - somebody please tell me why..
