Coldplay/U2 (my two tied favorite bands EVER) The Beatles The Arcade Fire Oasis Yeah, I suddenly got obsessed with Oasis lately, so they bumped Zeppelin from the top 5. But it's friggin' impossible (and slightly painful) to choose among my bands the favorites. It's like asking a mother to choose her favorite child. It's just cruel and unnusual! :lol: But yeah, definately Coldplay and U2. That'll never change.

I could stop listening to this song. That'd probably be a healthy thing to do. Yeah.

It's poser TIVO, actually... LMFAO!!!! It came with the cable box we got, so it was kinda like a freebie thing? Well, it's pretty cheap anyways. It'll randomly stop recording, switch channels, not record sound or delete things I marked to save. Seriously. It's got constant PMS or something.

We were discussing this (the polls, mostly) in my American History class, which has really become more of a Current American Politics And How Fucked Up This Country's Become Discussion Hour. :lol: Great class. But anyways. We were talking about this and my history teacher said something I, personally, share the opinion of. She was saying how she truly doesn't believe that RACISM was a factor. It wasn't that the federal govt or state govt or anyone saw them and said "They're black, let 'em float". The real problem is that the overwelming majority of people living in proverty ARE BLACK. Especially in New Orleans, as we've come to see. I don't think I'm realy articulating myself well on this. Our country's dirty little secrets finally come out for us all to see way too clearly in full color (no pun intended, there. Ok. Maybe a little one). I really, REALLY hope that it's not skin color that has determined how these people have been treated not just during and after Katrina, but years upon years before. I'm trying with all my heart to believe this. It's not because I'm white and want to downplay the issue of skincolor that is apparently all too existant in this country still. I just don't want to accept that. It's horrifying to me... It's not race, but class. But the real question here should be: What's the distinction between the two? That's what this country needs to ask itself as New Orleans begins to rebuild. I hope that made sense... I find it hard to articulate myself clearly and cleanly (without swearing every 3 letters) when talking about things I care about so much.

I hate TIVO's. It erased the second half to that new show Supernatural (that I left to watch), just as it was getting really good! Now I have to wait for the repeat Saturday. Urgh. It erased my Daily Show from last night too, before I could watch it! Whutta bitch. :cry: I bought the NME magazine just for that Chris poster, I'm so obsessed... :rolleyes: :lol: But who here could blame me?? :P

I think the next step I'm taking in my room is making one corner a place to display my portraits I do, especially my Chris Martin one. Very proud of that. It just sits in my folder at the moment and I feel bad for it. Yes. I feel bad for inanimate objects. :stunned: :lol: Purple was never a fave color of mine either, but it actually came out a lot more blue. It's strangely soothing. Hey, I'm going to go for like an hour and watch this show my mom's been bugging me to see. I'll talk to you gals a bit later! :kiss:

Thanks! I'm proud of the paint job in my room, the sort of psychedelic purple stuff. My uncle and I did it over the course of 2 days jeez... almost 3 years ago now! It was a real pain in the ass to do, though. Yet well worth it in the end. Of course now you can hardly see it, I've got so many damn pictures and posters all over the place! :lol: Much thanks to all you guys here for the seksi (? spelling!? LMFAO!) I thought this was about the UK too, Steph! (it's ok if I call you that, right? :D ) I was sort of confused at first, go figure! This is aweful, I'm so sorry for everyone who doesn't get to see them. But like I was saying to Mildred earlier, the pain you're going through right now with not being able to see them will all get rewarded in the end, somehow! Optimism never hurt anybody. :cry:

George Harrison, Coldplay and U2. :lol: My walls are crazy, and that's not even a tenth of the shit I've got around my room! I'm sort of a pack rat for old magazines. I got into the habit of cutting them up and putting the pictures up all over the place. :stunned: :lol:

I got the new X&Y poster (the black and white one, with all four sitting and Chris' pretty electricians tape) at Newbury Comics. Fuckin' love that store! I have a reaaaally old ROBTTH one, with the four of them in a line walking quite moodily. Don't know if you know which one I'm talking about, but yeah I got it back when the album came out. I remember all of the ones for sale were gone so I made the sales lady give me the display! She was so mad about that, I seriously had to argue for like 10 minutes and pout around the store before she concented. Bitch. :lol:

I don't know what I would have done if on the way to the Tweet back in August I found out the show was canceled! :cry: I really hope Chris is ok, though! I'm sure your pain will all be worth it in the end! Coldplay's never ones to let us fans down, right? :kiss: I'm taking Selected Topics for College Mathematics. Or something. It's really really easy and I'm sure I'll do fine, I just hate tests. I always panic somehow and screw up royally. :stunned:
