.... at Concorde's last ever flight. Yesterday, 26th November 2003, in Filton, Bristol - her home. I wasn't able to get right on the airfield, and regrettably forgot to take my camera to work with me (duh!), but I had the most fantastic view of her flypast and landing! The sun made her look brilliant white against the huge black cloud behind her - a rainbow came out just as she approached, and she seemed to fly right through it! Very fitting. And all the people came out of their offices and watched, and cheered when she came into view! It was a very poignant moment - very sad that she won't ever fly anymore, but somehow there was an air of celebration too. My avatar is a shot of her landing at Filton yesterday. The final touchdown.

When I was a kid, a new family moved into our road - their name was Almond, and the dad was a music teacher. There were lots of little Almonds, and one of them was called Marc. You may have heard of him - sort-of 'New Wave'. Anyway, they had a little Jack Russell dog called Cough Drop ( :lol: ) and my dog used to HATE it cos it used to come into our house without a by-your-leave - and my dog (an Irish Setter) would get his fur up on his back and come charging out and bark this little Cough Drop all the way home!!! :lol: :lol: No way to treat a future celebrity's pet :D :P :lol:

My hair is straight and dark brown with lighter bits where the sun has shone. But it's very fine, like baby hair :stunned: very difficult to do anything with. I really envy you guys with thick hair :D

I was watching BBC 1 last night and this programme came on about a Welsh Opera singer called Bryn Terfel. It was fascinating - he's such a lovely guy and has the most amazing voice. It was only after I'd been watching it for about half an hour that I realised who he reminded me of ..... dear Jonny! Funny, it's not drivers on mobiles that annoy me - it's aggressive, pushy drivers that come up behind me and virtually climb on the boot, and then pull out without indicating, whizz past at breakneck speed and then cut in too damn close ..... and that can be on ANY road, in ANY conditions, at ANY time of the day or night. Grrrrr, they make me so MAD! At least when someone's involved in a conversation on a mobile they probably can't drive like THAT at the same time!
