I got up at 6.45 am, did laundry and went to shops. Then drove 35 mins to see son play in hockey match (a draw), had 'match tea' which consists of polite conversation with other parents and some tacky sandwiches and cake, and tea you can stand the spoon up in, oh, and hubby and I will watch a video tonight - don't know what yet - watch this space! :D (btw, son ok, he's gone to a Shostakovich concert in Poole tonight lol) :D

I DEFINITELY don't smoke, and I don't do drugs anymore (not for a looooong time), but I do like to drink. So I can't join. But my son, George, and his band are straightedge - and I can't tell you what a relief that is, as a mother ..... phew! lol :D

I'm in and out - can't decide, but I'll be in when I need to be, and out when I have to be :D

Since In My Place the single came out - it literally stopped me in my tracks "Who's THAT??" and then was told in a patronising manner that the lead singer's brother was at school with my son and that I'd actually MET Chris Martin a few weeks before, on the school rugby pitch - and didn't KNOW it!! Now how SAD is THAT? But I've been catching up ever since - I listen to them prob about once a week now - it used to be every day .....

:lol: Well, yeah, keep it I say. The fact is, you're a good person or you wouldn't have had a second thought about it. How's that for twisted morality? Once my son found £20 - all rolled up in a shop. We were destitute at the time, on State support, about to lose the house, and £20 was an absolute fortune. We kept it, spent it on essentials (bread, vegetables, bus fares to the Social Services offices) and yet I still feel bad because my little boy wanted to give it up to the shopkeeper, and I made him keep quiet. :embarrased:

I'm proud of my cooking skills. Tonight I cooked omlettes with cheese and spinich filling, with a cheese sauce to pour over (with cream in it) and baby new potatoes with butter. :smug: Am fat and proud :smug: :D
