  4. Corum replied to chlorofit's topic in Coldplay
My top choices are: 1. Something off new album. 2. A duet with someone else, to shake things up a little - and the Grammy's are famous for having imaginative duets happen (Em adn Elton, Beyonce and Prince, etc) 3. A medley of their hits, something they have never done. 4. Twisted Logic, Swallowed or Hardest Part if it has to be something off the X&Y album. 5. Something acoustic with Just Chris and a piano or guitar. Slow, easy, realxed and intimate, just him and a spotlight and hopefull a damn good song. ;)
  5. Corum replied to chlorofit's topic in Coldplay
I hope it won't be Talk or SOS. Inferior songs IMO compared to their other work. Maybe Fix You or Swallowed, or even something off of the new album, cuz I for one am tired of hearing the same ol X&Y songs on EVERY SINGLE SHOW OF THE TOUR FOR THE PAST YEAR!! Please let it be new. ;)
  6. I loved it and if you did walk out, which I must have missed, I am sorry you did. It was probably one of the best films I have ever seen, and I have seen probably over a thousand by now. I'm a little wee bit fanatic about movies, but anyhow... Yes it touched me too, I saw the original Kong many years ago and I couldn't help but cry when he was taken out at the end. I also cried when his child in Son of Kong also died. God did I cry. What a loser eh? I love monster movies, especially monster movies that can make you cry. Why? Because it shows us what monsters we can be ourselves. The new Kong made me cry and I must say it was incredibly sad, the film I mean. I was hoping he would kill everyone he ran into near the end of the film, but even then I don't think it would have been enough, at least in my mind. For a film to make me think like that, to feel for the monster - it was well worth the money. I urge everyone to run out and see this film. This is a film you must see on the big screen. You simply cannot miss it. It might change your life, it might not, but I hope that for at least a few minutes, it will make you think about your life and take stock. I know I did. My two cents. ;)

  10. WOW! I cannot believe how true to the book it was. So much more that LOTR was. Absolutely the best film I have seen all year. Aslan was fantastic, as was the witch and I cannot wait for the sequels. I think JK Rowling should take notice - she said this book was one of her inspirations - but it's too bad she couldn't write half as well or her films look half as good. This film was superb top to bottom, and I recommend it to everyone. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
  11. How awesome is this movie going to be?? The books were fantastic and that really old cartoon was pretty cool, but the trailer is just crazy spectacular. I cannot wait for this one. :) :) :)
  12. Serenity Now!!!!!!! .......an erotic journey from Milan to Minsk. Mulva.....!?!?!?! My absolute favourite comedy. So funny, nearly every single episode. - the pee stained couch - George pushing the kids and old ladies out of the way to escape the fire - Kramer getting harrassed by the street toughs - Elaine's dancing - Frank, George's dad - simply everything - Newman LOL Still one of the best shows on tv - everynight on TBS 6 - 6:30. :D :D :D :D :D
  13. I prefer the newer ADA over the blonde one anytime. I mean she was alright, but just all in your face and high on herself. I think Diane Neal does a really good job, though I wish they would bring a guy back at some point. In the entire history of L&O and all it's shows there has only ever been one male ADA, and that was only during the first few years of L&O: TOS. I also wish they would make a with change McCoy. He's good, but a new face would be nice. I am getting a little tired of the stereotyping with the whole DA system on all the L&O's where you have a male lead for the ADA and a female for the assistant ADA. It's time for something new I say. :santa3:
  14. So this should be cool if it should happen - probably the coolest thing to happen to RAW since Scott Steiner showed up what? 2-3 years ago?? Taken from 1wrestling.com: According to Sting's website, therealsting.com, Sting will be wrestling Shelton Benjamin on Raw this coming Monday night. Scroll down to "Latest Events" to see it listed on his site and it says... WWE Monday Night RAW on the USA network The Stinger-VS-Shelton Benjamin 9pm-11pm The most watched action packed wrestling show worldwide UPDATE: The Sting appearance at RAW was deleted after 1wrestling.com broke this story earlier this morning. :D :D :D

Hmm, well White Noise and the Exorcist, while they were good just weren't scary. The only movie to scare me was way back in 1986 or so when I was just a wee bairn and it was called The Serpent and the Rainbow. That was basically it. Since then I have only been slightly disturbed by The Cell with Jennifer Lopez and that was only because Vincent D'onofrio's makeup was freaky. Otherwise nothing really scares me on film. Well, except ole George W. giving another speech. LOL. ;)
  16. Pretty disgraceful what happened Monday night. Colon surgery is not something to make fun of. I don't care if it was a joke or whatever. It was in poor taste. I almost don't want to watch RAW anymore. I only watch it to catch Flair and see if any of the other classic guys might come back. In my opinion TNA is the only ahem 'real' wrestling on the tube anymore. Good thing is TNAs ratings are going up every week. Hopefully they will end up on Monday night and go head to head with RAW. I will definately be watching TNA then. :)
  17. I love Bing Crosby and at one point Bing Crosby's White Christmas album was the highest seller of all time. It was either Elvis or the Beatles who knocked it off, I can't remember which and I am too lazy to search. But here are some Bing stats: Career Statistics; Number One Hits: 39 Number of weeks at Number One: 173 Number of top 30 Hits: 383 Number of Movies acted in: 60 (5 Academy Awards) Consecutive weeks at the number one position: 23 (1944) Most Songs in top thirty in one year: 27 (1939) Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" is the most popular single ever, the only single to make American pop charts twenty times, every year but one between 1942 and 1962. In 1998, after a long absence, his 1947 version hit the charts in Britain. It has also sold over 37 million copies worldwide. :santa2:

Ok, here is a little ditty I wrote and posted in the Multimedia forum in the Ode to Deodorant thread. As everyone knows it is one of Coldplays first songs. So if you have been keeping up with the thread you will know what this is about, and if not.. well here it is anyways. Waiting.... by Corum There once was an ode, A song written by Chris. It was limited release, And didn't do piss. Very few have this, And I am not one. But if I were to have it, What good I'd have done! I'd share with the world, This song, oh this ode. For that's how I live, The bootlegger's code Oh how I want you My magical song, Why you elude me And why for so long? Now not well does it bode, For a song or an ode. About something so fresh, That feels cool on your flesh. Oh Chris! Oh Chris! Why couldn't you please? Commercially release, Instead of eternally tease Why this song, Why did you write this? Why not about love, Why not a first kiss? It belongs in the bathroom It goes under your arm It shouldn't be a song Though it works like a charm How long must I wait? How long must I fret? How long will it continue, This continual sweat I just want to kick And I just want to scream I see you in life And I see you in dream Why can't you come to me? Why can't you come near? Why can't you come to me, So that I might hear? I want you, dear ode, I need your sweet sounds. I need your smooth notes, For my limits know bounds. I don't think I can take it, My patience where's thin. Whatever will I do, If my patience can't win? Will I go crazy? Or will I go mad? Will insanity follow, If no song to be had? Oh where are you song, oh where are you ode? There are those who will tell me, and those who have told It's coming, it's coming, it's coming, just wait! How can I? How can I? I think it's just bait. AAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! (Silence, take a few deep breaths...phewwww!!) I know that it's coming For it has been fortold But how long will it take, For my song,..... my ode. (And finishes with Chris at the end of In My Place singing this instead of Oh yeah) Hoooowww Looooooonnnngggggggggggg.................? Cheers! :D
  19. There was only one episode that really disturbed me, and it involved a kidnapping for ransom of a girl who was 12 or 13 or so I think. Benson and Stabler are helping to negotiate with the parents and something happens when they are on the phone with the kidnapper. So the guy starts raping the daughter while on the phone (prettty sure) while the parents are listening. It even showed some of it, though no nudity, it was pretty graphic. And over the course of the episode he raped her a few more times until she was released. It was pretty brutal and I guess you have to see it to really know what I am talking about. Thing is, I have watched every season of SVU in repeats now - nearly 2 and 1/2 times so far - and this is the only episode that they never, ever show. It's like that episode of the Simpsons with the World trade towers, or the Seinfeld episode with the pee-stained couch. They never air it. It sucks also because even though I felt disgusted by that episode, I would like to see it again because I have seen every other one so many times. Well who knows, maybe they will lift their ban on it at some point.
  20. I agree with the first post. They are alright but not the best. And I don't think they influenced everyone in the nineties. Generation X grew up on Grunge and Alt. Rock - Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Phish, Nine Inch Nails and many others. After this came the pop explosion - boy bands and teeny-bopper girls. Sure Radiohead was influential, but not that much. :rolleyes3: :rolleyes4:  :whip:
  21. I agree wholeheartedly withhard2xplain. LOL Jessica is prettier though. :freak:
