What albums are/will rock?
i posted this in another thread, but thought it won't bother you if i'll post my list here as well ;) 1. Destroyer - Destroyer's Rubies - probably the best album of the year so far, if you want good indie pop-rock with some blues and jazz effects, you MUST get it!!! genre: alternative/indie pop-rock 2. Thom Yorke - The Eraser - a solo effort of one of the most influential artists of all time and it's great. and it's THOM YORKE!!! so you must buy it anyway. genre: alternative/electronic pop 3. Guillemots - Through The Windowpane - the biggest surprise of the year for me, i downloaded the album some hours ago and after the first listening it made my top 5 of the year. wow! genre: alternative/indie pop-rock 4. The Flaming Lips - At War With The Mystics 5. Sufjan Stevens - The Avalanche honorable mentions: - TV On The Radio - Return To Cookie Mountain - Ratatat - Classics

- Coldplay rumored to headline next year's Benicassim Festival
i heard that the festival director mentioned some possible names like Coldplay, Radiohead or David Bowie (!!!) who might headline that festival in 2007. sounds promising, it might mean that the 4th album is coming next year  -------------------------- interview with the festival director (mp3) - needs a Spanish - English translation: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=E9C1409E3E4A5F45- Miles Davis

oh yes! my uncle is a big jazz fan, i don't even know how many vinyls he has at home. and every time i travelled with him in his car we listened to jazz, that kinda influenced me. i was at the Montreux Jazz Festival this year, but saw only Sigur Ros. couldn't go for more events because of school, but next year i definitely planning to check some other artists as well. btw BB King played at the same time as Sigur Ros did. what a legend! although, the tickets were twice as expensive as for Sigur...of course - [2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] 1/2 finals - Radiohead vs The Beatles
hmm, don't think so. i really enjoy them, many Beatles albums belong to my favourites of all time ;)- F.C.Barcelona
hmmm, i read we want to buy Vieira and Trezeguet  don't understand why...our team looks complete for me. we bought a F instead of Larsson who went to Sweden (Gudjohnssen), RD/LD (Zambrotta) and a D (Thuram). why we need another F and a DM. we have enough forwards and Edmilson, Motta, Marquez or probably Xavi as well can play a defensive midfielder anytime- Miles Davis
 Sam, if you like jazz, you definitely should check him out, he is THE father of jazz ;) i haven't heard that one yet, Mo :/ but bookmarked, so gonna check as soon as i can- [2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] 1/2 finals - Radiohead vs The Beatles
^ yeap true i think Beatles are gonna win the whole WC what is a bit surprise for me considering that Radiohead, Muse or U2 have bigger fanbases on this site IMO- [2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] 1/2 finals - Radiohead vs The Beatles
it's not about who is the best, it's about who do you enjoy more. i think many people misunderstood this competition- [2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] 1/2 finals - Radiohead vs The Beatles
just look at the standings once again and answer the question yourself or read my first post- Miles Davis

they are already pop, aren't they? :(- Pop is dead?
- Pop is dead?
haha disagreed about only Hip-Hop. there's a LOT of indie and alternative rock bands today. some of them crap, but some are good and have potential- Pop is dead?
the time will tell, though i wouldn't mind if Coldplay wouldn't be popular at all...like in the old good days - Coldplay rumored to headline next year's Benicassim Festival
