  1. it's hard to say, because many promising bands have released only 2-3 or even 1 albums my personal top 3 of the promising artists: Arcade Fire, Interpol, Coldplay (yeah, i still hope) and there are many others but i'm not really sure about them
  2. refering to a Radiohead song "Anyone Can Play Guitar" is very true nowadays IMO the quantity is taking over the quality in the world of music
  3. music is getting died? hmmm, no at all there's a lot of talented bands/artists nowadays which may dominate in the next 10-20 years
  4. i don't understand your drama
  5. you have more problems than anyone else here on this board (at least it looks like when i read your posts) i still don't understand why should i pay tribute to Elliott on a Coldplay msg board?
  6. on THIS board???
  7. BSB are a bad pop example there was a lot of good pop artists in the past: Beatles, Micheal Jackson (his earlier records are brilliant), Billy Joel (i personally like him), Elliott Smith (he was a brilliant songwriter), Madonna (earlier stuff is good) etc
  8. yeah you're right but with years pop got it's own genre i think
  9. why you think it's classic Rock'n'Roll?
  10. Starlight is pretty much pop IMO and Invincible sounds like a Jeff Buckley song just with different song writing @ Lera of course A-HA still exist as Billy Joel, Michael Jackson and i believe half of Beatles do as well lol but they don't dominate any more as they did in the early 80s
  11. i think we all have to agree that the 90s damaged the pop too much (see: boy bands and blonde singers with boobs) where are those good times with A-Ha's, Michael Jackson's, Billy Joel's or Beatles' excellent pop records?
  12. i can think of Outkast's Hey Ya and probably Britney's Toxic as last good pop songs, but that's all. both are from 2003 if i'm not wrong
  13. but seriosuly, how can people call BH&R a rock album? it's pure pop with some obvious rip-offs you can't even compare it to OOS or Showbiz which are better than their latest effort. Muse have gone pop, fact
  14. that's a pop song as the whole album is a pop record, but IMO that album isn't a good one
  15. that's a pop song as the whole album is a pop record, but IMO that album isn't a good one
  16. i kinda think so if not tell me a good pop either album or song from last or this year
  17. Radiohead, but i won't give any musical arguments comparing these 2 bands is pointless, i just enjoy Radiohead by far more than The Beatles
  18. FINAL RESULT: Radiohead - Beatles 28-35 discussion: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31984
  19. Ondes Martenot replied to ##1Nite's topic in The Lounge
