Radiohead
hmm, good question. they have tour dates till the end of August, what comes after is a big question...i think they'll go to studio and continue to record songs for their next album, but maybe they'll continue to tour and will announce some UK and EU tour dates...never know my personal opinion is: they won't come to Manchester till the spring/summer or maybe even autumn of 2007 so i think you should wait a year

Mercury Music Prize
well, i hope too, but i wouldn't be surprised if one of the commercial bands like Muse or Arctic Monkeys would win it

Mercury Music Prize
The nominations for this year's Nationwide Mercury music prize have been revealed this morning (July 18). At a small ceremony at the Royal Commonwealth Club in London, Jools Holland announced the 12 albums that will battle it out for this year's prize. The nominations are: Arctic Monkeys - 'Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not' Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan - 'Ballad Of The Broken Seas' Editors - 'The Back Room' Guillemots - 'Through The Windowpane' Richard Hawley - 'Coles Corner' Hot Chip - 'The Warning' Muse - 'Black Holes & Revelations' Zoe Rahman - 'Melting Pot' Lou Rhodes - 'Beloved One' Scritti Politti - 'White Bread Black Beer' Sway - 'This Is My Demo' Thom Yorke - 'The Eraser' Revealing this year's nominees, chair of judges Simon Frith hailed the artists for reflecting contemporary life. "Above all, this year's shortlist for the Nationwide Mercury prize is about the art of the songwriter," he said. "If you want to know what life is like in Britain today, listen to the country's musicians!" The overall winner of the £20,000 prize will be announced on September 5. Following the announcement bookies William Hill have immediately installed Arctic Monkeys and Thom Yorke as 5-1 joint favourites, with Muse, Editors and Guillemots are close behind them at 6-1. Last year's prize was won by Antony & the Johnsons for the album 'I Am A Bird Now'. ------------------------ source: Pitchfork and NME

[2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] Group stage & KO round
yeah, that sucks :( Beatles-Pink Floyd Radiohead-Sigur Ros would be perfect 1/2 finals IMO, the other 2 "matches" seem to be much weaker and btw, new logo :D :

When did you become Coldplay's fan?
in 2002 when AROBTTH was released, though Coldplay were only one of the bands i liked. i became addicted in March-April of 2005, in the pre-X&Y release era

iTunes Charts all across the globe!
definitely :nice: it's either Radiohead's/Thom's best or worst work yet, but it is a honorable mention

Radiohead
welcome as always, and you don't have to give back anything :) i got/get hell a lot of stuff from coldplaying members so with every opportunity i'm trying to give back something ;) about FMA...i don't think it will make the album, Thom likes to play some old songs...alone (solo). same with True Love Waits. maybe he'll play FMA or TLW this year some times, but i think both are kinda unfinished...he's trying the songs imo. he did the same with Nude in 2002 maybe these 2 songs will appear on the 8th album? who knows...of course if they won't split up new songs list: new songs which they planned to play this tour :

iTunes Charts all across the globe!
i'm really happy for Thom, but it's a bit surprise especially if we consider that his album didn't get any real promos (no video, no single yet, only 1 TV appearance which was broadcast after the release of The Eraser) and that his album has been leaked 1 month before the official release it's great to see that Thom and Radiohead have such a big and faithful fanbase

Radiohead
it's an old one and still unreleased, i think, first time it was played in 2000. Follow Me Around was performed this year as well, but only once at Greek Theater in LA here's one of the live recordings (the quality is good, 9/10): http://rapidshare.de/files/26110211/02_Follow_Me_Around.mp3
