  1. yes, 6:30...i went to the bar directly after school and drank nonstop from 3 to 6-ish. i'm pretty worthless.
  2. i dunno how i made it from the bar to my computer....but i love you guys
  3. They have hot wives indeed... :sneaky:
  4. Will said in NME, "I think we've had a tradition of releasing how many words in the title there is, I think it's five words in the title." My random guesses: At The End Of Nowhere When The Day Is Done Time Will Tell The Truth Get to guessing!
  5. Assuming I'm financially stable, I would like to be married by 27, and possibly have a child at 30... ...but I would rather let fate decide. I'm almost 23, no big hurry yet.
  6. Square One too.... Pretty much the whole album could be released as singles.
  7. I love The Hardest Part, but the single should have been either A Message, X&Y, White Shadows, or Swallowed In The Sea.
  8. 6 AM on a Saturday was a huge feat for me. I was proud of myself!
  9. bump i'm not sure how long rapidshare links stay active, so get them while you still can.
  10. I'll propose in the shower...can't get more personal than that. :wink3:
  11. Yeah, same Jason as the colplay.com forums. Except I've kind of migrated towards Kirsten Dunst now, as I have a collage of her in my sig on those boards.
  12. Priceless. On a side note...I think Guy, Jonny and Chris should shave their heads and Will should grow his hair out, just for fun.
  13. I met a girl last quarter and we did a group project together. This quarter we have all classes together, and have gone to eat as friends a few times, and she invited me to her apartment to cook for me and study together. Yet there's still this vibe she gives me that I shouldn't expect to be anything more than friends. At times we get silent and neither of us know what to say. We have a lot in common, so maybe I bore her. When we do hold a conversation, we're comfortable around each other and can easily make eye contact. I'd definately date her if she wanted to, and it sucks when she flirts a lot with other guys right in front of me. :( But I'm not her boyfriend, so I can't be so possessive.
  14. Of course they're going away for a couple years....it's called a vacation! Over the past year and a half they've recorded X&Y, finished 1 leg of a 2-year world tour, and have been working on the 4th album. You don't want to ask so much of them that they just explode from the stress...they're people too. It isn't uncommon that bands don't make an album for 3 or 4 years. I think we waited 3 years for X&Y. He said at the Seattle show "see you in a few years"....which means after the tour ends in September, after they take a year or so off from touring, after they sit down to write and record a 4th album, and release it before starting another tour in probably 2008. Though I remember Chris saying he wanted to start making albums more frequently like the Beatles used to. Pretty much anything Chris says can't be taken seriously anymore...he said Slash was the greatest guitar player to ever live....come on. $20 says they put out a new album next summer, lol.
  15. I woke up at 6 AM to wait outside of a department store from 7 AM until Ticketmaster opened at 10 AM. Strangely, I was the only person in line the entire 3 hours. What a crowd! The 2nd time I got Coldplay tickets, I just asked my dad nicely to go get them at 10 AM at the same place...I had to go to school on a Saturday for a group meeting. My dad is awesome.
  16. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has revealed that he's setting a goal and sticking with it for the band's fourth album. Martin told Scotland's Daily Record that the next CD will contain "the greatest piece of music ever made," he continues "I still don't think I've written the best song ever - in the middle of the night I wake up and I'll try to write it." No word yet on when this greatest piece of music will see the light of day. http://1077theend.com/musicnews.asp
  17. Well...I think it's safe to say Islamic-Americans do not riot and protest in the US because they are a minority and would simply bring themselves unwanted attention and backlash. Last winter, I actually did a project on Islam for theology class. I visited 2 mosques, watched 20 men pray at one mosque and watched 300 men pray at another mosque. I met with the imam (person who leads the prayers) of each mosque and talked with them for at least 2 hours apiece. I shook hands with most of the Muslim people at the mosques and they were very hospitable...especially since they knew I was there to actually learn about their traditions and that I was respecting them for who they were. At the mosque of 300 people, the imam wouldn't let me leave without eating lunch with them, and so I sat cross-legged in the room with them and ate curry rice and chicken with my hands like they did. They enlightened me on the connections between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam...and how they are all branches of the same tree. I think people tend to hate or speak in generalities about what they do not understand, and for me to get to experience Muslim traditions first-hand made me completely put to rest any prejudices I had. Add to the fact that my uncle is a Muslim and was born in Iran, it only made me respect his religion even more. The majority of Muslims are kind people who follow the peaceful life the Qu'ran instructs them to...yet their entire tradition is tainted by those who adopt extreme interpretations of their religious text. It's a shame. To anyone wanting to learn more about Islam, setting up a visit to a mosque and talking with Muslims face to face is a life-changing experience.
  18. Well, if she hadn't told me she was working from 6 until midnight, I might have taken her out to dinner!
  19. The sad thing is, the evidence and story SEEM so farfetched that you'd be called insane if you were to try and spread the word and claim the evidence and story are legit. It would be like trying to convince a religious person that there is no God...they would just ignore you and call you crazy. Such a helpless feeling.
  20. I went to school, and have been doing homework all night. Valentine's Day sucks when you're single. This chick and I were talking in class about how depressing it is to be single today, and she kept saying she wanted flowers today from somebody. I would have been her Valentine had she not been flirting like crazy with the guy next to her.
  21. 22. Have you written a screenplay for an assignment or a spec script (script written with the sole intention of selling it to a producer/studio)? Have you ever had your script purchased and turned into a play/movie/documentary/etc.? I've had an idea for a book and screenplay for about a year now. I want to write it, sell it, and then possibly add my insight as to how exactly I'd like the movie shot and cast if I'm allowed to do so within the contract. I know it would probably be smarter just to make my own movie to have more control, but I don't have the resources or money. I know I need an agent just to approach a studio with a script, but I don't think I have the money to pay an agent. If anybody went to film school or knows the movie industry and wants to enlighten me ANY knowledge on the subject of scripts and filmmaking, please do so!
  23. There's a book called "The New Pearl Harbor" by David R. Griffin. If you find this thread intruiging, I SERIOUSLY suggest you check this book out. Using factual evidence, the book highlights such things as: 1) The steel columns reinforcing the WTC towers couldn't have crumbled by simply running a plane into them. Steel doesn't melt until it reaches 3600 F, a degree of heat that could not have been produced by the plane itself, but by a missle or rocket at close range. If you watch the planes fly into the towers, you can actually see black missle-like structures mounted below the front of the plane, and a bright light at the tip of the black missle-like structure goes off miliseconds before impact, suggesting a rocket was detonated. 2) The WTC towers electricity was completely shut down the entire weekend before the attacks and strangely, a crew of "inspectors" were the only people allowed into the buildings the entire weekend. Evidence in the book suggests the buildings were actually prepped to be demolished. The way in which each tower fell, and the speed and precise way the towers fell can only be carried out by placing demolition charges at the corners of the building from top to bottom. The vacant WTC building #7 was actually being used as a communications HQ across the street during this whole ordeal...which had conveniently evacuated due to a "fire". After the planes were flown into the buildings, demolition charges in the WTC towers were detonated, making cracks in the 4 steel corners of each building, thus causing it to crumble very quickly. 3) The pentagon accident is said to not have been caused by a plane at all, but by a missle/rocket. The pentagon has an automated defense system in the area that will do an electronic "red light/green light" screening for each aircraft entering the area, because that area is a no-fly zone. Government planes have a "green light" chip in them, making the defense system view those aircrafts as friendly. This also includes government missles/rockets. The fact that the "aircraft" penetrated nearly 3 layers of the pentagon wall, each wall reinforced by 8 foot thick steel walls, which means at least 24 feet worth of steel. Once again, only the force and heat of a missle or rocket could penetrate steel that thick. 4) The only video footage of the pentagon accident was captured by a gas station across the street. Within minutes of the accident, the FBI immediately confiscated the video tape from the gas station owner. Around the streets near the pentagon, streetlights were knocked down in areas that the flight path of the supposed "plane" didn't even pass through. 5) Also, a section of the pentagon said to have been hit by the "plane" was knocked down in a perfect square, something like a 20x30 foot area, about 30 feet deep, to the 3rd wall of steel. The offices in the picture of this section supposedly hit by the plane show wooden desks and office papers completely untouched, even computers completely undamaged. If the "plane" supposedly burned up in that section, why didn't wooden desks and papers burn too? 6) If you look closely, the planes flown into the WTC towers were actually unmarked government planes with blacked out windows. Government planes don't carry commercial passengers, and usually don't even have many seats on them. Perhaps the real commercial plane's communications were cut off and the planes were secretly diverted and dumped into the ocean or hangers somewhere, allowing the goverment to murder the passengers and cover up evidence....all while flying decoy government planes into the building which were controlled manually and electronically from the nearby WTC building #7 HQ. This could be the biggest cover up in world history. Could this have been purposely planned out to have a reason to go to war? Something to think about. Honestly....this book will have you engrossed. I read it and I talked about it's contents for MONTHS, but you feel so overwhelmed and helpless at the same time because it is such an outrageous plan that people won't believe you. And remember folks, it is not considered a conspiracy if it is actually true. :stunned:
  24. I've heard White Shadows or The Hardest Part from a lot of places too. I think A Message or X&Y would make great singles too. They could go Green Day style and release every album track as a single :idea2:
