Sweet news. And now we play the waiting game. Kind of odd. I can't remember the last time a band's first single was the 8th track on the album. Usually it's like between the first and 4th song. Just a stray observation.

I really hope it's more than 9 tracks. 11 is usually a good number, as long as none of them are instrumental. I hate when a band comes out with like a 16 song album and like 4 or 5 of the songs are instrumental.

Possible translation- Live with Life or Death and all his friends? IDK. Personally, I'd rather just have Death and all his friends be the title and have all this craziness over with. But, in the end, who cares. It'll be fine. June 17th can't come soon enough.

I'm kind of in the middle with the title. I kinda like it, but at the same time, it does sound a little weird coming from coldplay. Can't explain it really. Could be worse. I really don't care what it's called as long as the songs are good. Yea, the article says June 17th now. That's a tuesday.

This looks very promising. I wish the actual dates on those screenshots were real, lol. We would have known the album title days ago! Probably just a screenshot of what was supposed to happen, but something must have delayed it. Maybe they are going to reveal the site, the release date, tracklist all at the same time.

I never understood the comparison of coldplay and radiohead. They don't sound anything alike to me. Personally, I have more of an emotional attatchment to coldplay than I ever will for radiohead. Radiohead might have better sounding music overall, but for me, coldplay's personal lyrics and sentimental vibe is what makes the band. I think the 4th album will be a lot different, but it will still be coldplay. I'd like to think of them as the new U2 only in the aspect of changing their sound just enough to still have their signature sound. I mean, Pop and Zooropa were a LOT different, but still clearly U2ish. I think this will be Coldplay's strategy.

I have a feeling we'll be getting a big announcement about the album within the next 1-2 weeks. If not, I really doubt that it will be out by May. I think right now we're looking at late June/early July.

I think they are finishing the album by next month. My guess is it's still going to come out in late May, Early June, just in time for the 3 year anniv of X&Y.

Allright, finally all the prospekt album title debates can end. I'm also glad that it's not going to be called prospekt. Never really cared for it.

Yea I don't really care what it's called either. I just want a release date!

Saw them last Wednesday. They were awesome. A little disappointed though because they only played for about 50 minutes :/ I guess that's to be expected, I mean they only have two albums. I saw them at an outside venue in Florida with perfect weather so I really can't complain.

My local newspaper music critic just got a press release with the cities of the US tour for Radiohead. No dates yet, just the cities, but it's still exciting- Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Tampa, Miami, Montreal, New York, Philadelphia, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Seattle, St Louis, Toronto, Vancouver and Washington DC.

Idk, I'm really excited for the new album, but it sounds to me like they are still kinda far from being done. They're still recording parts and chris is still writing new songs.....yea, I dont see this coming out for a good 6 months maybe more.

Idk, I kind of agree with house of cards. It's my personal fave on In Rainbows, but I've read several reviews and comments of people saying it's the one weak song on the album.

I don't think they will be as popular as when X&Y cam out. They'll still be big though. Probably enough to tour at the same type of venues as the 2005 and Talk tour. Hopefully not though. Smaller venues would be preferable to me. It seriously felt weird watching them in a huge arena with a TON of people around me.

^^That's definitely on my list My top 3 underrated songs- Blackout -so gorgeous. Actually my personal fav muse song. Megalomania - the end with the organs blaring is just amazing Ruled By Secrecy- Slowly builds up and the end is incredible.

I think as of now, house of cards is my favorite, followed by bodysnatchers.

Nice! Two significant entries in the last few weeks. Of course people always say that, "the next album will be their best ever." I'm very excited, but I try not to get my hopes up like that. It's better that way. Hopefully there will be more news soon about when to expect it to be released.
