I think Chris is just waiting for the band to ultimately meet its end. He stated that he's only got a few more years of song writing before expects his output to be not as good. Plus at some point people will lose intererst and move on to other new bands.

Speak for yourself, unless you are a moderator, please don't take the "law" into your own hands. utdog simply created a discussion topic. Saying he dosen't have a right to make a critique of a particular album because "Coldplay fans are tired of taking crap" is not your job to get in his face about it. He's hardly a troll and I think you're getting into hysterics simply because someone dosen't agree with your own point of view. If you don't like the thread don't read or reply in it. There's loads of threads here in this forum that deal only in Coldplay in a positive way. Don't insist that any member here should be banished or be silenced because you don't agree with them.... I don't agree with a lot of what he said but you can have a discussion with people you don't agree with and both gain something from the interaction.

Guys if your idea of having a Coldplay forum is to not allow any critique of the band and personally attack anyone who does then that's hardly free speech or acceptable behavior. He's not trolling, he's putting his own opinion forth, correct or not. Explain what you see wrong with his statements and explain why. Putting stuff in caps and yelling incoherently is not discussing or debating but simply looks foolish. If you can't handle alternate opinions then get off the internet.

If they are into clubbing you'll have to find the right music. Maybe play some Cut Copy or Daft Punk, get the Senator onto he dance floor and then talk to them about limiting defense spending and less aggressive military stances. Buy them a few rum & cokes too... I find it work very well.

If they have a hire a keyboardist, background vocalists, violinsts, or whoever over pre-recorded parts then they should do it. Spend the money and make it work live. The Beatles never took Sgt Peppers on the road and lord knows they would have spent a lot of time planning it out. I think U2's Popmart tour had to work out a LOT of kinks before they started doing good shows. Coldplay may have to adapt on the road as they don't appear to be planning it out in advance besides getting a giant video screen.

Yeah they are in danger of being labeled the next Mili Vanili if they keep having a good chunk of their show pre-recorded. Not to mention they'll run into the same pitfall of having the same setlist night after night if they don't have the flexibility of changing songs on the fly. Getting very nervous. If they have a weak tour again we might see many tapers sit out another tour. :(
