In the eyes of the music press, Yes! There has been a kind of backlash against Coldplay over the last 12 months, because some people resent the success they are experiencing. It's very typical of the British media to build someone up then try to tear them down. Ok, well, I don't know what the British media is like. But I guess this is all about money, as everything else is. First they hype someone to get as much money as possible and then after squeezing them out, they look for another band. Business. That's all. I know only about what the situation in Hungary is like. I don't want to bore you with it, but it's not any better than the British one. It's different but still shit. although they havent succumbed to the evil that is advertising (i.e. selling their songs to commercials), their music has become very very commercial sounding. parachutes and arobtth were unique and no one but coldplay could have done them...X&Y could have been done by any band with talent and a big production budget (save for a few songs...fix you and maybe till kingdom come) i still love the album but coldplay has gotten so big so fast that they feel they need something to prevent them from deflating (this was alot of the critics criticism too and they have a point)....i dont know how much bigger they can get. there is a limit and i hope they dont approach it anytime soon. their music needs to go back to the basics...no more expensive over produced albums...go back to arobtth...it was unique...X&Y has headed them in the wrong direction. they have said they will go darker next time around...that'll be interesting for sure.

here you go...chris looks like shit in this pic but you can see the rose tattoo...it might be a stick on or airbrush though...i have never noticed it before...on their next leg of the tour we have to see if its still there.

its not a tattoo...the only person in teh band with a tattoo is chris...he has a very small rose on his forearm

I remember Miller talking about it on the Coldplayer. I know it was shot in the US in Arizona I think. He said they were shooting and people were driving right past them on their way to the show and never recoginized it was Coldplay. :lol: Mercury Prize was back in July of last year I think. thanks so much! it was to accept the nomination for the mercury prize.

the funny thing is they dont call it a religion..anyone can be a follower of it regardless of what religion you are...thus they pull in a wider audience and collect more money. there are bottles of kaballah water that you can buy for $5 each...anyone who has half a brain can rwealize this is a money making scheme.

I agree with you Crazyduckette.I hate sects (kabbalah,scientology and others):angry:.These persons try to manipulate people in order to make money.I think Chris is a clever guy and i hope this story is false. :rolleyes: the kabbalah website is run like a business...it hardly mentions the belief system at all...its all merchandise and crap that costs money they are trying to sell a tiny book and a piece of red string for $26!!
