Strange email from Ticket Factory
Morning Had an email from Ticket Factory this morning, which says A bit odd. My guess is that they've mixed up what they've sent me, and I can ring them when I get to lunchtime to find out. But has anyone else had one of these?

[4-Jun-2012] Coldplay @ Emirates Stadium, London, UK
I've just paid that out twice. Gigs are financially crippling these days, but when you want to go so badly...

It's the relief! Glad though :)

I would seriously avoid Getmein - I think it's a terrible idea. It's just ticketmaster trying to tour their own bloody tickets.

Check ticketfactory - they're not just selling Coventry tickets as the main site says, they're selling for all dates.

Am I the only one thinking it was that easy? I was expecting to be panicking and still trying to get through by now.

If you're the originator of the original league, you can restart it this year. I don't know who admined the league last year.

The new Fantasy Premier League is up ready for the new season. It's powered by EA Sports this year, so the layout and all has changed again.

Would appreciate some advice :)
Nah, you don't need to bother queueing. Most people won't queue when they've got seats, unless the weather's really manky and they want to get into the warm and dry. First support was on at 7ish, but you shouldn't have any problems getting in time if you want to.

Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
Aww, I like Vegemite too :p It's just a statement of acknowledgement. They had no choice when Mr. Satriani started saying they hadn't responded. It can't say a lot if it's all in the hands of the lawyers.

Pretty big unfortunately. Coldplay is a Marmite band. People either love them, or hate them intensely (for whatever reasons). The latter group seem to have a very vocal contingient who love running Coldplay down and will jump on any little thing just so they can have a dig. This is why I think this will beome a BIG thing, just because some people won't want to leave it alone. I can understand not liking a band - I dislike lots of bands, but never to the degree of all this. I agree there should be some kind of looking at the law. There's got to be a law protecting artists for sure, but when you're looking at in this light, where the chord progression and the notes that are similar is such a short phrase, then there's only so many ways phrases like this can be produced. I don't want to get to a state where people can't write songs using, say G D and C in progression because someone else did it first.

You can take bags - I took in my christmas shopping for the day. The good thing about seats is that you've got a bit of space to put bags down. You should be searched, but the woman who searched me didn't really try very hard.

14-Dec-08 - London, O2 Arena - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
Ring them. This close to the gig, you need to ring them to find out where your tickets are. If they're lost in the post, they can arrange for replacements as they're seats, but get it sorted now. 08444 999 999

And the Foos sold out 2 nights as well :) My Mum still doesn't know that we purposefully went on holiday to Barcelona just to see Coldplay. I told her that it was a coincidence they were there when we were there and we were lucky enough to get tickets on the offchance! And I was 25 at the time. She also doesn't know that I went to Machester last year to see the Foos and met up with people I only knew from the internet. She'd have freaked out on that one :D

I think it finished about 10.50 in Brum. We had to leg it to get the last train back to Rugby from New Street which was 11.00. Made it on tuesday with about a minute to spare :p

I love reading official type reviews - they always make me laugh :) I didn't think Chris was particularly stroppy, re. the Bloomberg review. I did think the crowd took a while to get going, and the crowd on the tuesday was generally better than the first. Personally, I'd put it down to the seating arrangements. All the people who would otherwise have been going nuts at the front (like me) were scattered around the arena, and not bunched up at the front going nuts where the band would have seen them. But I definitely don't think it was that bad. I loved it. Those last reviews were much better :p

I've been up for football and sat in both lower and middle tiers. Middle tier is obviously much better view-wise, and the seats (the posh ones) are really comfy and have plenty of room. Down on the lower tier they're pretty nice. The slopes not as big as say, the millennium stadium, or any of the arenas, but there's loads and loads of seats in the lower tier, so there's plenty of places to sit if you don't want to stand all the time. The new Wembley's really nice. Also, for person who asked, there's still tickets available on seetickets.

what is the hardest jonny buckland guitar riff to play?
Agreed. One of the things I love about listening to Jonny is that his guitar parts just fit the songs so well. They don't have to be overly technical, or long or whatever. They sound great and he does it so well. Yeah, a lot like Mr. Gilmour who is one of my guitaring idols.

How to sneak cameras inside
Yeah, anything professional looking will not get in. If you've got a good digital camera, but it looks like a point and click, it'll be fine. Security round us at Brum seemed really hot on people recording as well, so watch out for that.
