Wow! Fantastic review. And even though I wasn't there, I do believe they deserved it. They have seemingly put their complete heart and soul on this record and will now lay it all out on the stage for us each night. Congrats to the guys! I'm not sure we can assume that because they watched apple at different times it was because of not wanting to be photographed together. I mean, I realize they do go to great lengths not to be photographed together, but this situation could have been a scheduling conflict. Perhaps they both had other commitments and were there as long as each could be. I just don't think it's good to assume what the media is reporting is the reason is the actual reason.

As you all saw, Lost was cut off at the end. I was actually in the audience, so what you missed was that on the last three chords, chris hit the wrong notes. It didn't sound terrible, but it was a little off and Chris said, "oh, shit, i messed that up, sorry everybody". I wasn't surprised it was cut off when I watched it later that night.

I've not see any photos of any of them, but I would bet at least Chris is still in the US while the others may have gone back to London or taken a holiday prior to the start of the tour.

Conan is also dark for 2 weeks. No CP on either NBC shows until vacation is over. I'm sure they will at least do Conan.

LOL, funny you should ask because my husband went to all kinds of trouble to get me the tickets for the second night and then when i announced I would be going alone the first, he wasn't the happiest. I think that was the beginning of his semi-understanding of how much I love the band.

I think the entire song is political and yes, has to do with the soldiers who are in and are dying in the war. I think the question, "if you love me, won't you let me know" is directed at the government (UK and US). Basically, you're supposed to love us, to guide and protect us, but you're doing nothing for us. I think Chris ties in the soldiers off to war theme in as well. Also, perhaps no one has been on this thread in a while, but the line is AND A FOX, BECAME GOD. As told in the RS article, Chris is referring to Fox News.

OMG, I totally love what you've said here. My sentiments exactly!!!!! I was on such a high all weekend. I was re-reading interviews, I kept listening to the album, I was telling everyone and my husband finally said to me "I think you're obsessed". My friend's keep calling me psycho. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, here.... but LIFE IS FOR LIVING. (no pun intended, sorta). I mean, you love what you love, you do what you love and if others think it's too much, so be it. For me, this was a once in a lifetime experience. When my husband went to the gym to work out, I put on the Today show again and during Viva you can see me jumping up and down so ecstatic and going wild and I was so overwhelmed by it all, being right in front of Chris when he was putting his all into it, was just too much. I started to tear up. (like you, not a full on bawl, but just a little tear). It's like the Beatles, man. All I can think of is that footage of the Beatles where all the girls are screaming and crying. Too funny. Anyway, I'm totally feeling you on this CookyMnstr and like you am thankful for Coldplaying and everyone on here to be able to share with. *Most* won't think I'm too weird for my CP "obsession".

My first CP concert I went alone. I had tix for second night with my husband, but couldn't stand not to see them both nights, so I got a ticket on the side of the stage for the first night. Was an awesome show and had a blast alone. You'll have a great time. You'll be seeing Coldplay!!!!

Mel, what an amazing experience for you. I had no idea you had to travel by plane. Amazing story. I don't have enough time right now, but I'll give my account of the amazing day that was yesterday later tonight. It was one of the best experiences of my life though. To see the guys up so close is more than I ever thought would happen for me!

yup, it was. his shirt looked totally official but it was all home made. well done.
