I have to say....it has grown on me! Its so hypnotic..... I'm a little bit disappointed they seem to have completely abandoned the sound that made them famous... but I'm liking the song a lot more, with every listen. It's kinda crazy! Apparently, the 'mercury in retrograde' is a reference to something to do with the planet Mercury and science and going backwards before you go forwards or something similar?!??! It makes a bit more sense now.... sort of...

While I was waiting in line for the rough trade/93 feet east gig, he apparently really slowly went past in a taxi and only a few people noticed. doh.

(radio 1- http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/zanelowe/ ) I don't think I like it, like I like Silent Alarm's songs... it seems too dancey. and just not serious enough. :( I'm a bit disappointed...... :\ I guess the more I listen to, the better it sounds....the horns are quite fun. Radiohead apparently practiced 70 songs or something like that for their tour and played different setlists each show they did. I had tickets for the two London shows and had to pull out of the second night. I was disappointed I couldn't go, because they played a whole different setlist!! That is what I'd like to see Coldplay do. Pulling different songs out of the bag each night. The tour was so predictable last time, I really hope that they mix it up this time around! I have a bad feeling that they won't though. I love Coldplay, but I agree with Mich.... it's got to the stage where everything seems to be about Chris pulling silly faces, and running around the stage. Take me back to the earnest and beautiful shows of the AROBTTH tour and the shows on the Live dvd!!!!

I will do! I'm hoping to get all the albums from my friend though, and she is without internet at the moment to send them to me :\ still, when she does, I will definitely listen. One thing I noticed about his songs is that they often end when you least expect! Quite abruptly!

I really hate to say this, but I saw Coldplay and Radiohead within a week of each other, and Radiohead were just on a whole different playing field. I still love Coldplay, but....yeah....I had to say it.

I saw him on Friday evening at O2 wireless! He was great. I've always been a kind of fan of his, but never got round to listening to albums... I have two songs of his and they're both from film soundtracks 'Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometimes' from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.... and Diamond Dogs, from Moulin Rouge. I know that 'Loser' song he did too, which is a classic one. Need to get into him more!

I saw the end of him at Glastonbury, I enjoyed 'Bitches Aint Shit'..... haha.... his cover of that song. ( - an example of him singing that song)

The only thing I've ever bought from Starbucks is a sandwich and overpriced brownie, begrudgingly. It's just so overpriced. I always thought that too many were springing up too fast in every town. Wonder this'll affect the ones in England too.

I would have said all the things I said, regarding you, before Kimchi started posting a few months ago. No one on this forum stands up to you and your stupid little comments. Everyone just puts up with them. and I have actually met him in real life, at both the Coldplay concerts two weeks ago, so I know that he is a normal, polite, nice and civil person. and he is only trying to make sense of you in his posts. but that's a hopeless case. This is all so pathetic but I guess that's how it is. having to deal with your derogatory, negative posts that put people or subjects down everywhere on this site. *shakes head*

Mark, why do you have to put everything down that you don't like? I don't care if you hate Tottenham and you can post whatever you want about them, but you always ruin other threads about things if it's something you deem unworthy.
