The amount of effort you put in there to explain that joke to me is impressive. Although regrettably I must inform you that I don't like pie. I think its the pastry. Pastry on a Pasty is alright, but on a pie I personally find it a bit dry and uninteresting. Unless the pie's filling is sufficiently moist so that it soaks ever so slightly into the pastry, thereby softening and adding extra flavour to the dish. It may also be to do with the traditional accompaniment to the pie, for example peas or carrots. These are also pretty uninteresting veg, which only re-enforces the boredom I feel when eating the said pie. The only saving grace here is the gravy. Onion gravy in particular. Not too runny, but too gloopy is also a no-no. Somewhere in between, and poured mainly over the peas is the ideal combination. This might well be the most boring post ever.
