Withnail and I is ludicrously popular. What next on your list The Big Lebowski? V is for Vendetta is also a MASSIVE film. Garden State was such a contrived movie, it tried so hard to be indie that it just felt like it was ramming it down your throat. For me, I watched Synecdoche, New York last night, it's not immensely well known and popular but it scores high with critics and it is absolutely amazing. I love these types of films though, I can't be bothered to list them all.
