I think The Brits SUCK!!! Year after year the most ridiculous people end up being nominated and winning. Personally I have never taken this awards ceremony seriously. Any awards event that can honour the likes of Spice Girls, Take That, Robbie Williams and The Darkness which The Brits have done in the past is obviously a joke. In spite of that, good luck to Coldplay. Although I won't be at all surprised if they walk away empty handed. They're not as "trendy" as they were 2-3 years ago so they'll probably be overlooked in favour of Kaiser Chiefs, who are "trendy" even though they SUCK.

Does anyone know the lyrics for the following songs: - "This Temporary Life" by Death Cab For Cutie - "Tourniquet" by Headswim - "Zombie" by The Cranberries
  3. I accidently voted yes for some reason so subtract 1 yes vote and add 1 no vote. Now back to Blobbie Williams, I can't stand the guy. He is nothing more than a glorified karaoke singer. To me he will always be Gary Barlows tubby backing vocalist. He can't sing, can't play and can't write. I don't know how he's managed to sell so many records; it's ridiculous. It just goes to show that you don't need talent to be successful in the music biz. It also mystifies me that he is regarded as some kind of sex symbol! He's as sexy as a veruca. Robbie fans don't get upset, this is just my opinion. Your more than welcome to disagree with everything I've said.
  4. "High" by Feeder from the album Polythene.
  5. I LOVE Radiohead, they are my all time favourite band. I consider them to be the best of the three acts because they are incredibly versatile and inventive, which are qualities that usually draws me to any artist. I LOVE Coldplay also. I find their music very emotive, so as I'm not a very emotional person I like acts who's music can provoke emotional responses from me. As for the other band, they shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as Radiohead and Coldplay
  6. As I had nothing better to do, I decided to read through every thread ever started in this forum. When I came upon this old one it got me thinking. After much deliberation I've finally narrowed down my list. So here are 3 Songs That Would Describe Me: 1. "Creep" - Radiohead 2. "Play Dead" - Bjork 3. "One Last Breath" - Creed

"Wandering Star" - Portishead Please could you stay awhile to share my grief, For it's such a lovely day, To have to always feel this way, And the time that I will suffer less, Is when I never have to wake. Wandering stars, For whom it is reserved, The blackness of darkness, forever, Wandering stars, For whom it is reserved, The blackness of darkness, forever. Those who have seen the needles eye, now tread, Like a husk, from which all that was now has fled, And the masks, that the monsters wear, To feed, upon their prey. Wandering stars, For whom it is reserved, The blackness of darkness, forever, Wandering stars, For whom it is reserved, The blackness of darkness, forever. Doubled up inside, Take awhile to shed my grief, Always doubled up inside, Taunted, cruel. Wandering stars, For whom it is reserved, The blackness, the darkness, forever, Wandering stars, For whom it is reserved, The blackness, the darkness, forever.
  8. I'm listening to "Taste You" by Auf Der Maur from the album of the same name. Melissa has such a sexy voice; she just sounds SO dirrrty!!! I wonder what she means when she sings the line "I will taste you. I've got a big mouth"? I can't imagine!

"Half Day Closing" - Portishead In the days, the golden days, When everybody knew what they wanted It ain't here today Through the times of lasting love, When parents talked of things tried and tested, They don't feel the same. Dreams and belief have gone, Time, life itself goes on. From beyond the shrinking skies, Where money talks and leaves us hypnotized, It don't pave the way. Underneath the fading sun, The silent sum of a businessman, Has left us choking. Dreams and belief have gone, Time, life itself goes on. In the days, the golden days, When everybody knew what they wanted, It ain't here today Dreams and belief have gone, Time, life itself goes on.
  10. I'm listening to "Ballad For Dead Friends" by Dashboard Prophets from the album Burning Out The Inside.
  11. UK: "Don't Give Up On Us" - David Soul US: "Torn Between Two Lovers" - Mary MacGregor I haven't heard of either of these songs.
  12. Have you ever watched a film and thought you knew exactly where it was heading, and then a major plot twist is revealed that you didn't see coming? Here are 3 plot twists that took me completely by surprise: 1. Darth Vader tells Luke he is his father - The Empire Strikes Back 2. Tom Farrell (Kevin Costner) is in fact the not so fictitious Russian spy Yuri who doesn't really exist - No Way Out 3. The disabled Verbal Kint (Kevin Spacey) is actually the not so disabled crime lord Keyser Soze - The Usual Suspects

    ^^ THANK YOU!
  14. My favourite Coldplay track is still "High Speed" from Parachutes. I can listen to this song no matter what mood I'm in. "The Scientist" is a very close second though.
  15. There are over 18,000 registered users on this forum. I was wondering if I'm the only black Coldplay fan here. It wouldn't bother me if I am, but if not, I'm curious to know what peoples reactions are when they find out you're into Coldplay. Personally, I get alot of raised eyebrows when people discover the kind of music I listen to, and not just Coldplay.
  16. Has anyone mentioned Westlife yet? If not why not? THEY SUCK!!!
  17. Hero replied to IamShado's topic in WoM Games
    N = Neva Dinova
  18. Hate is a strong word, but it's fair to say I'm not a fan. Mind you I quite like the song "High" it's the only song of his I can listen to.
  19. I am listening to "Did You Disappoint Your God?" by Neva Dinova from the album of the same name. God only knows how many times I've listened to this song. I just love it, I think it's the most beautiful song ever recorded.
  20. Okay , this thread is seriously old but I think it's worth ressurecting for a while. So here are ten of the best voices in music IMO. Thom Yorke (Radiohead) 6. Gary Briggs (Haven) 7. Tom Chaplin (Keane) 8. Bjork 9. Amy Lee (Evanescence) 10. Josh Rouse
  21. I was listening to Gomez a little while ago and realised that they are very much under appreciated, at least here in the UK they are.
  22. "Sugar Water" - Cibo Matto "At The River" - Groove Armada "(Afternoon) Soaps" - Arab Strap "Fear" - Sarah McLachlan "Play Dead" - Bjork "This Love" - Craig Armstrong ft. Liz Fraser "Underwater Love" - Smoke City "Return To Innocence" - Enigma "Destiny" - Zero 7 "Half Day Closing" - Portishead
  23. I've been going through all the threads for 2005 when I spotted this one, so here's my contribution to A Song To Make Love To. Any of the following on REPEAT work for me: 1. All Is Full Of Love - Bjork 2. Just Like Heaven - Katie Melua 3. Fade Into You - Mazzy Star 4. The Way You Are - Mackabella 5. Justify My Love Love - Madonna 6. The Deeper I Fall - Vaughan Penn
