  1. Hang on...that is the stage and not the bar, right??
  2. I can't believe this has come round so quick :o I suppose I better get packing :P Thanks for the photos Ian, that stage looks HUGE :)
  3. I'll take my Mt Fuji climbing stick then. It has emblems burnt into it by ninjas. And bells on the top (secured by rather nifty red ribbon). Let's see them try to give me grief then! HA!
  4. Cheers Ian :) I will walk it I think, climbing Mt Fuji all those years ago should have given me strong enough legs to hot-foot it to Travelodge :P
  5. Phew, plans have finally all fallen into place :P I'll be arriving at Manchester Piccadilly (wherever that is!) on Friday around 3:30, and staying both nights at the Manchester Central Travelodge (ditto!!) to leave around Sunday lunchtime. I look forward so much to meeting everyone for drinks on Friday, and will probably stay for most of the meal too :) Thank you so much to Jen for all her kind help organising things, you are a star
  6. Well, it'll be more entertaining than the chap who sat in a deckchair and had a pint :laugh3:
  7. Well, I've watched quite a few plinthers, and it seems the ones who let balloons go or play music get everyone going the most. So, my plan is to take a sound system up there and play Viva La Vida :) I would have two costumes - one a copy of Chris' from the Strawberry Swing vid, and the other would be something with an elephant mask (a la my avi here). Friends down below would film in addition to the online streaming so something decent could be edited together, and I'd just dance about really  but I'd like to make two vids out of the footage - one for Lost and one for Lovers in Japan (where I'd throw down confetti I still have from the gigs, and release the balloons at the end) :) I'd also hang around for the whole day and do various time-lapse shots around the square, especially the sun rising and setting. People milling around. I would so love to do this, I hope I get my chance :)
  8. If we meet around the One & Other (fourth plinth) there is 24hr streaming, and the videos can be watched for days afterwards :) I've applied for a place on the plinth, and was really hoping it'd coincide with the meet-up, but I guess that was just a little too hopeful :P
  9. Most welcome. look for something Japanese...some calligraphy if you can find it...that would finish the piece perhaps :)
  10. Don't like it? Don't click on the thread. It was obvious from this thread title what it was. Go be unnecessarily unpleasant somewhere else.
  11. You have some great ideas, it's clear you enjoy your work :) If you want just one piece of constructive criticism from me it's that Lovers in Japan 2 looks unfinished. It's beautiful, but it looks like a work that is only between 1/3 and 2/3 completed. Anyway, carry on, thanks for sharing :)
  12. Um, well I've received four already. And there are six more due to arrive from somewhere else for relatives and friends (that is, other relatives and other friends - those other than the four people I already have tickets in hand for). They may come in one batch or two. I can't remember how I did all the ordering :laugh3: But these ones showed up alright, so I reckon I'll put my feet up, put on Prospakt's March, and wait for the taps on the door while I drink my tea! :P
  13. The first batch of my tickets arrived today, they're really nice :) I was very glad they showed up, as I couldn't remember where I'd ordered them from :P There are six more to come from somewhere else, but they aren't as important, they're only for relatives and friends :laugh3:
  14. Looking at the situations in reverse Jen (the only chance to ever see Coldplay at Wembley but supporting Girls Aloud), I think I would be happy going home after the warm-up myself, and spend those extra few hours warm and tucked-up in bed!!
  15. Are umbrellas allowed? I don't think they are at Wembley. I'm taking a mac/kagoul (if anyone googles the latter, please ignore the first result and jump to the second - I can promise you I'm not planning to take 'an online community of gay men'!! :laugh3:)
  16. Superb work Patrizio, this time the band are really gonna know the crowds in the UK love them just as much as the incredible European crowds :)
  17. I'll go. What time's the meet-up?
  18. I'll bring an inflatable banana for the 'judge' to brandish. 'ORDER IN THE COURT!!' lol :laugh3:
  19. You are right, we are here on this website because we love Coldplay, we love good music, and we want to enjoy both :) I am glad you met Mark and enjoyed time him with, truly I am. But he has been deeply unpleasant to many people on this website over the years. Until he stops his behaviour (and he will obviously never stop), I am afraid his threads will always get replies like this. It is not only me who says this it is many people. It is very sad, but it's true.
  20. So we're all going to meet Mark on the 18th and enjoy the 'court case' as he produces his succession of 'eyewitnesses' who will swear that he's alright really, and not at all the unpleasant individual who tries to e-bully people 40 years younger than himself on here, ruins threads, is rude to non-native speakers of English, and lives in his own fantasy world??? Cool! Where we meeting?
  21. Lol, I do too, and mine will be bowling up to the gates at Wembley at about 2pm on the 19th after a nice lunch in the pub, I just couldn't resist posting something ridiculous after all the ridiculous posts here about living at Wembley for days before the gig  Leave me alone TROLL. You are just broadcasting once again what an unpleasant character you are (as if anyone around here needed reminding).
  22. I'm considering queueing for the gig on the 19th from the morning of the 17th, so almost everyone who attends the 18th will queue up after me, pass me to go into the gig, then anyone who queues up again will be behind me once more a few hours later :laugh3:
  23. Does anyone have exact GPS co-ordinates for the wicket please? I would like to make some runs during In My Place :)
  24. Tonsu replied to Tonsu's topic in Coldplay
Thanks guys. I played around last night working with mixes of 42, Talk, A Message, and a few others. The results were pretty good, but I realised I need higher quality copies of the originals to make something worth posting. Anyone else? It doesn't have to be a mix of remixes. Original tracks would work fine, and actually there's so much potential there. I have some ideas on that front, but not the technical know-how (yet?)
